Well, I guess some of us are about the community and helping others, and some aren't. Oh well. No biggie.

A little FYI, I don't belong to any "communities" of "decent and true collector's", nor do I belong to any "brotherhood of ethical collector's" or any other sect or toy fellowship. Keep fighting the good fight and helping your community. Last edited by STORM SHADOW; 06-21-2008 at 02:43 AM.. |

I can sort of agree. But on a different note, I forget who posted it, but I wasn't giving credence to the new design to what I've seen so far. Granted it was only the mock-up he-man and grey skull. I'll purchase these figures on a case by case basis. I'm not into pokemon mentality yet on these. I have to see. I will be getting greyskull though, I just want to thats all. I'm curious to find out exact details on this line. I've got a number of questions for these mattel folks. Right now the info seems to go ("well...maybe, they might cost...," "um well we'll see, we could possibly do that character but"... And my favorite, "we'll be selling them more towards collectors, however...") Last edited by Blaster'spunchingbagg; 06-21-2008 at 05:26 AM.. |

Snow Job, your wallet's better off without them. If I see them though, I'll let you know. I don't need a backup stash.

yeah they were updated. The didnt have that bowlegged im squattin in the forest to do my business look to em and they didnt have such lame scuplts. Much better looking. I just dont like the 80's look that these new figures have. If they looked more akin to the 200x line and not the original 80's style i probably would be more apt to want them.
I also greatly prefer the 200x figures to the vintage (apart from Prince Adam), but prefer the original Filmation cartoon series to the newer one. As such, I have all the 200x figures on my shelf but view them in an old context (if you see what I mean)...

no i feel ya Crim. I viewed them much the same but with more delight over the originals mainly cause of the new sculpts, though i too had trouble gettin them to stand but found those mcfarlane figure stands helped (the lil black discs?) I just wish they wouldnt have made these figures look like the old 80's look. The sculpts are better but their hair, facial and over all styling is too much like the 80's line.

Im pretty sure I know your 'source'. I sent them PMs and I'll be posting a link here like tomarrow or something to give them time to order them first. But you really are a terrible person STORM_SHADOW and I hope no one ever helps you.
