Hey everone, this is my first post here on Hisstank.
I think this has or is being discussed, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I was at Wal-Mart this morning and after picking me up a 25th Anniv. Viper I decided I'd buy me my first Indiana Jones figure. There were a ton of them and slowly I noticed EVERY one of them had crappy tape... the figures were fine but the tape was messed up. It wasn't until I got home that I realized some scummy trash bag had been buying all the figures, stealing the stickers and returning them to wally world. I've heard of the happening with the 25th Anniv. comic packs. But I've never heard of and can't imagine why it's happening to the Indiana Jones figures and not the comic packs in my area... Wouldn't the doc figure be more valuable than the crystal figure? It makes me so angry, it's so wrong I can't believe people do this and live with themselves. |

Wow, It's actually harder to steal the stickers from Indy toys because you have to pull the cardboard crate out of the blister to get the sticker inside. Guess some people really want that crystal skeleton. This is why there really should be more questions asked when you return a product (Or maybe Hasbro should stop using tape to package items)

That sucks. I had a hard time finding the sticker in the crate. It was a small crate.

It upsets me that a store will accept a return and put it back on the retail floor at retail price. Opened or not - it's used in my book. All of that stuff should go into it's own location at a reduced price. I know some stores do this, but more often than not, stores will charge full price for an opened return or a display model, and it blows my mind. It's be easier, if all you're after is the exclusive figures from these packs, to buy them, take out the stickers and then return them saying someone else had taken the sticker out of the pack. Replace that one with another, and voila, you get two stickers for one, or however many times you felt like being a douchey scumbag.

This is pretty bad because like someone else said, you have to go through A LOT of work to get the stickers out of the Indiana Jones figures. I only opened one that I really wanted and there was no way for me to get the sticker out of the box without destroying the box and separating the blister from the card.
This is very shocking considering how much needs to be done in order to get this accomplished.

I'm not saying someone didn't steal the stickers or it just wasn't there, but i can tell you it had nothing to do with the "crappy tape." A BUNCH of the indy figs. are like that, i agree it's one of the worst taping jobs i've ever seen, but that's how it came from the factory. I've personally opened sealed cases of the figs. and seen the tape like that off the bat.

I cracked mine open just to get the stickers. I used a heavy clamp to hold the top blister from coming off. Instead of just stealing the stickers just go make a color copy of the stickers. I copied the 12 inch ark stickers at Staples and it looks exactly the same, just not glossy - used some clear packing tape.
