Just got back from the Greensboro toy show here. Thought I'd share my haul. Spent $172 in total and got all this great stuff:
The main haul The Joe base is missing a good amount of stuff (Including the front wall!) but it came with 60% of a Cobra Surveillance port. The AGP is basically a shell but it has good instructions. The APC is only missing the sterring wheel and one seatbelt. The Mauler is missing a few parts but it had Heavy Metal's gun in it. Bug Bite doesn't have his weapon but it's not broken like my other one. The Action Force comic was a freebie I got when I bought some of the regular Joe comics from a comic guy out there Convertors SDF-1 This is one of the biggest finds I had there, the other two being the Steel Monsters vehicle and the Garbage Pail Kids pop up toy GPK I remember getting a friend of mine one of these pop up toys back in 2nd grade. It's the only other time I've ever seen one. The X-men playset is for my Joes MASK There was a mess load of Mask figures out there, I just kept on running into them |

Battle Beasts
Now if only the Battle Beasts were in as much abundance as the Mask figures, these were the only two I saw GI Joe Coloring Books Starriors I also got two of the 25th anniversary wave 4 GI Joe Comic packs (Shippy with Copper head and Stormy with Firefly) from Sid Darth who hooked me up with the APC. Picked up a 97 Trubble Bubble complete also All of this and I got to meet Toyboxraider (from Action Figure Archive) and Mr.Clean. Definately a great weekend! Here's the Liberty head with 25th Joes on it: |

I like the Statue of Liberty scene! And that coloring book makes me really wish I still had mine. Was it colored in?

Okay pleading ignorance: but I know I have the robot figure in the pic, it turned into a flying aircraft carrier right? Are they rare now? Should I dig it out of my childhood toys and put it with the rest of transformers and gi joes that are in safe containers?

There are large ones (And possibly small ones) that are official Robotech SDF-1 toys that are REALLY expensive. This one is from the knock off line called Convertors. I love the Dorvack and Robotech robots from the line, hence the emphasis on finding one. They're hard to find and some are more rare than others (The insects and birds from the line still get re-made every now and again) Depending on who you talk to they seem to be worth anywhere from a few dollars to $35 or so. That being said, if you have the two parts that attach to this robot's back and form the front of the ship, I'd trade heavily in your favor

Great haul man! It was good to meet both Shogi and SidDarth - who also hooked me up with the new comic packs and a couple of wave 8's I was missing.
I didn't buy a whole lot, but here is my favorite thing I bought: Super-Cop! (Bolo's worst nightmare) A great Funskool figure, that was missing from my collection. "Watch out crooks! Supercop is in town." http://www.yojoe.com/action/int/ind-supercop.shtml http://www.yojoe.com/action/int/card...d-supercop.jpg Last edited by MrClean; 08-03-2008 at 07:50 PM.. |
