As of right now I have Deluxe waves 1-4, Voyager waves 1-4, and Leader waves 1 & 2 (just got Ultra Magnus Today from HTS). I also have an extra Bumblebee since I got the Wal-Mart 3-pack. This line is just awesome.

Other then that, I've gotten most of the TFA stuff, except for repaints (Elite Guard Bumblebee), aside from UM, all I'm missing right now is Swoop.
I am so pumped for that Shockwave/Longarm Prime figure when it comes out. It looks so cool. And Swindle and Blurr as well.
I worry though... TF:A season 3 is still being worked on and stuff, but with the new live action TF sequel coming next summer, is Hasbro gonna pull the plug on the toyline so they can sell movie stuff like they plan with G.I.Joe? If so, that's gonna suck what with all the two characters I'm hearing being introduced into the show this next season.

What I'll be adding next; Wreck-Gar, Blurr, Shockwave, & Leader Class Shadow Blade Megatron.
I'm skipping a bunch of characters, I'm not a completist. I buy what I like, I don't see any point in buying anything & everything they release. |

| I have a good number of figures, mainly toys of characters I liked on the show. I hate Sentinel Prime, but would buy his figure if it came with a remolded battle mask(which looks bad ass).
I have all the Optimus figures except for ROCC, Bumper Battlers and the Activators version. Surprisingly, the voyager is the most disappointing one out of the ones I have(voyager, both deluxes). Sculpt is great, but the loose hinges for sideways articulation at the torso(lateral?) and lack of ratchets on the arms overall kill it for me. Still an okay Prime figure but could have been so much better. Large axe of doom could have been held sufficiently, if only the arms had ratchets. I am one of the few who actually like the voyager axe too.
The best Optimus for me so far is the Cybertronian deluxe. Splendid figure, did not think I would like it as much as I did..total shocker and a must have for the line. Blitzwing has one of the best robot modes but has the worst jet mode of all the jetformers so far in the line. Tank mode is fine, but jet mode...holy hell did that one get compromised. Lugnut in my opinion has the sleekest and best executed jet mode, you can barely tell that it transforms. Starscream is great, a ton of Macross homages, not only in overall design, but homages to various Macross toys, especially to the 1/65 DX Fire Valkyrie from Macross 7.
I like voyager Bulkhead better than Leader Bulkhead. People mainly want the Leader one for size, but the voyager one has the most personality and uniqueness. Only one to have the wrecking ball too. I dig the automorph, and the fact that he can stand on one hand. That's fucking crazy for an obese tf. If the Leader Bulkhead had the same kind of automorph, had the wrecking ball gimmick, and could stand on one hand he would be better, but as it stands, I actually prefer the voyager. The leader one is neat for a heavy armor/full weapons version, and I appreciate the fact that Hasbro went as far as to mold new weapons and sculpt new armor to differentiate and make the Leader version unique.
I like the three deluxe, voyager and Leader Megatrons. The voyager is a marvel of engineering...ratchets all over the fucking place. For a guy like me, that is awesome. Able to hold the huge gun, which is the biggest gun I have ever seen on a Megatron before. It is a feat of great engineering for the toy to even be able to pose with it. The ratchets are tight too, so no worries about looseness. The deluxe one I tend to see as g1 and animated smacked together, same with the Prime it came with. I dig. The Leader one...holy crap...as G1 as you can get, more G1 than the Classics version, articulation is great, weaponry is great, my only problem? The wings get in the way of the arms in robot mode and do not lock into place as to stay out of the way. Alt mode kicks ass.
I honestly think Ultra Magnus is the best leader figure so far. Best Ultra Magnus figure I've seen too. Articulation is great, ratchets all over, armed to the fucking teeth, the most heavily armed of all autobots in animated so far, and possibly of all robots in the line so far. Bristling with hidden weaponry. My only problem is the weird placement of the shoulder joints, you won't notice it until you start moving the shoulders up and down, and in and out.
This is one of the lines where nearly every figure is worth getting, and it's rare now at days to see a line like that, even with TFs. It is a shame that the Prime that most of us looked forward to, the voyager one, is the most disappointing one in the main line. This is also a line where the Decepticons for the most part, have better toys than the Autobots, where as the opposite can be said for Classics/Universe, and the movie line. Quote: |

| Season 3 was officially greenlighted earlier this week, and Hasbro did confirm that the line would continue during the movie line.

Of course, as far as that goes, what in the world is Ultra Magnus suppossed to be in vehicle mode? And what exactly is bulkhead in vehicle mode? is bulkhead suppossed to be a trash truck of some sort?
Those may be stupid questions to most of you but I can't figure it out so I figured I would ask.

| | Cobra Viper Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 450 | I have been buying these for my son as an incentive for working hard in his school work and he gets one deluxe Transformer every two weeks. As a Transformer toy collector myself, I have to admit that I really couldn't stand "Transformer Animated"...I disliked the designs....but almost a year now since it first debuted on Cartoon Network, it makes him happy and most of all I see many kids including nephews totally into the new animated series.
Granted, I'm more interested in the G1 stuff and I have to admit that I also enjoyed "Transformers Cyberton" and the toyline as well. But as I help my son transform these new toys...I have to admit they are pretty cool.
So, far my son owns most of the deluxe with the exception of Oil Slick, Jazz, Black Arachnia and the new Bumblebee. I just received Swoop and Sentinel Prime and I bought him the roll out Optimus Prime for Christmas but considering maybe buying him the Ultra Magnus (not sure yet....my wife thinks I'm spoiling him with Transformers).
As for the most difficult...I found Voyager Megatron a pain in arse. Kind of reminded me of Soundwave "Transformers Cybertron". Easiest was Voyager "Bulkhead". As for breakable, most of his toys are sturdy but the door connector part to his body somehow cracked but everyone else he owns seems quite durable.
But I'm happy he enjoys Transformers and that there is a series that he truly enjoys.
