Voyager Prime's axe is heavy for the figure! The arms should have had ratchets all over. As dissapointed as most of you are with voyager Megatron, one of the things done right on that figure is the fact that its right arm is ratcheted enough to support the weight of the absolutely huge gun. This should have been done for Prime's arms.

Awesome. After seeing that ^^ pic I need to repaint my Classics Megatron in better colors. I just picked up this first TF Animated DVD in our PX here in Korea. We probably won't get the toys here until August, but as much as I love the show I'll have to pass on most of these. Purely a financial decision, but I already know I'll be on the hunt for Animated Bumblebee and Starscream.

QUOTE] Whoa. Thanks for posting the pics. I had all those old G1 guys at one time and thought they kicked ass... what the heck was I thinking??? They really don't look anything like what either the cartoon or the comic was making them out to be (must have been that power of imagination thing)... The classics line just blows the originals away, it's pretty amazing what the designers can do now-a-days |

You gotta remember that was over 20 years ago and back then they were ahead of its time compared to other boys toys. The whole appeal of the G1 toys was their realistic looking vehicle/alt modes ex. a realistic looking Porsche,Walter P38 gun etc. and it had an added bonus feature of turning into a robot, when we were younger that was cool. Those toys were all made first years before the cartoon and comics in Japan as the Diaclone line and later brought to the States and Hasbro used the cartoon as a marketing plan of course. Now a days the toys are designed in conjunction of the creation of the cartoon and the animators designs.Of course with better factories and engineering the parts with the aid of C.A.D. modern toys are alot better. Our 80's cartoons still kick the ass of today's cartoons but today's toys just blow away all the vintage 80's toys |

I got Voyager Optimus Prime today, as well, and honestly I thought he'd be slightly bigger. I am not disappointed, because his robot mode is plenty big, but for the packaging, they sure wasted a lot of space with him and Bulkhead especially. I understand the want to save money on not having eleventeen sizes of packaging, but when they're already printing different boxes for each Voyager, would it be difficult to make them different sizes according to the figure? Maybe its an illusion to make people not feel "cheated" for a smaller guy? I don't feel cheated on the Optimus or Bulkhead, but maybe a child might?

I want to like this line, I really do. I just can't get into this style, especially after having bought Alternators/Binaltech, Masterpiece, Classics, even the Cybertron line was fantastic.
I love the cartoon, and really like how the toys actually look like they popped right out of the television. Problem is, is that I just can't dig the designs. I did buy Starscream though, and will most certainly pick up the Ultra Magnus when released also - amazing mold that is.
