The 200X line was of action figures and had articulation and action features. But when it didn't catch on with kids and they ended it they began making the mini-statues, or 'stactions', with even more detail but no articulation and aimed it strictly at the collectors market.
Now both of those are done (with the possible exception of one last staction two pack) and the new line: Masters Of The Universe Classics will debut at San Diego Comic Con with the inaugural figure being an SDCC exclusive and the first wave coming out in the fall. MOTUC is a blend of the two recent lines; it'll be aimed only at collectors since there's currently no MOTU media out there to support it, and the figures will be highly articulated but will not have action features. It's basically DC Universe Classics done for MOTU. It's also basically the coolest thing that has EVER happened. EVER. way better than constantly repainting the same figure's body parts and making a new head then 're-tooling' a new vehicle... Oh Hi New A.V.A.C Firebat Hasbro copied from hisstank.. we were just talking about you |

Merna, thanks for all the info. I'm really excited about the new line coming out. I hope the detail is going to be just as good if not better.

I hope so. In my opinion, I think the SDCC exclusive King Greyskull figure looks goofy. He looks hunch back or something.

I really dig these figures! I offered some insane stuff to people, glad they didn't take me up on the offers (found most of the MOTU stactions), so now i can keep all my gold SDCC Destro's & yellow Stalker variants!!
