Woot, no clue on Darth Maul, i don't like him (and i didn't want to cheat using the wookieepedia) Exar Kun: Nuff said! Not only to use, but he created the double-saber. maul's saber is suppossedly a gift of palpatine (he retrieved a part of Exar's lighsaber, or the plans, not clear) I would have said Master Arka jett (from Arka, of course) He created the double-saber until they decide to ret-con it EDIT: wait a second. they already did. It had something to do with a holocron that Kun found the plans in. The Tedryn holocron I think. EDIT EDIT: ok, had to check, but yes indeed, it already has been retconned as above. Also, Maul did build his own. The story is called "nameless" and is from the tales comic series. Had nothing to do with Kun's lightsaber. Why that rumor spread I'll never know. There's no such planet as arka. Its Arkania.

Palpatine retrieved the plans, or part of the plans or a holocron (i think that is) and give them to maul as a "reward" after the training (because DM was sooo skilled and sooo cool. *yawns*). It's official, dude. hum, damned spanish translations. Master Arka was from Arka, i knew that the inhabitants are called Arkanians, but the planet was always called Arka.

DAILY TRIVIA
Ok, since yesterday's triva were apparently easier than I intended, I spent some time thinking of harder ones. (2 Points) Which star wars character was directly named for a TV show host? By whom? Which host? Why did this cause problems? ------------------------------------------------------------- (5 points) Approximately how many named characters in Star Wars are now related to Luke Skywalker? (NOTE: adoptions and engagements will count as related for this question) What are the family names of these characters? ----------------------------------------------------------- (4 points) How many times did Han Solo work for/with the rebellion prior to ANH? What were these jobs? What novel/comic series/game were the events chronicled in? ------------------------------------------------------------ (2 Points) Bane established his rule of 2 1010 BBY, and Palpatine died in 4 ABY. During how many of the intervening 1014 years, were there actually only 2 sith in existance? ------------------------------------------------------------- (2 Points) Who ordered the retreat at Endor? ------------------------------------------------------------- (6 Points)What is the meaning of "LAOLVLES and WFAAIRR". (Hint, this one is NOT star wars related) ------------------------------------------------------------ (4 points) Who was Darth Sideous' master's master? ---------------------------------------------------------- (4 points) Which star wars character is named after me? ------------------------------------------------------------- (5 points) If you were to run out of bacta during this battle, what else could you use? Why would that not work? ----------------------------------------------------------- (10 points) Which comic series unintentionally foreshadowed the Yuuzhan Vong invasion? NOTE: A player may answer any 2 questions today. Unanswered questions will result in a penalty to ALL teams equivalent to the points the question is worth.

Short for retroactive continuity.
For example, when Timothy Zhan wrote Heir to the Empire etc back in 1992, he placed the clone wars close to 40 years before the Battle of Yavin (based on a suggestion by Lucas). However, when the prequels came out, Lucas made it 20 (ish) years BBY. That would appear to be a contradiction. However, because the date happened to be told to leia by a Norghi, they changed it (retconned it) to be 40 years by the Norghi standards, by inventing that their planet's year was about half a standard year. basically a Retcon is changing something that doesn't fit from an old story so that it does fit with the new stories. It happend a lot due to the prequels (Fett, Clone wars, Chewie, etc.) and a certain author is also rather fond of it because she feels the mandalorians don't get enough page time. Quote:

BTW, no one answered this question yesterday:
(3 points) This story has fit entirely within the established canon of Star Wars so far. Except for one small thing. What is that one error? (HINT: there are technically 2 things that don't match, but one that is more glaringly obvious - the smaller discrepancy can be explained within canon and only earns 1 point) Therefore each team will suffer a 3 point penalty to their highest HP character. The answers are: 1 Point - Able is stated in Empire to have fought under Shack Tii. However, as it is common for clones to move around under generals who are not consistently in the field (like Hett and Tii) this can be easily explained. 3 Points - The Mandalorian Death Watch was a splinter group that opposed the traditional Mandalorians (like Jango) and was destroyed years prior to the clone wars. Hence it is not the appropriate name for the mandalorians here (but hey, it sounded cool). |
