I admit the enthusiasm seemed to be there in the little teaser of the front page. But that might also be selective reading.
Anyway, I certainly hope it keeps the line alive and well while maintaining the core what got done right in the 80s. No more Sigma Six and Extreme. |

Excited for the FSS. WOO
On the other hand I am not excited for Marvel Infinite Series 3.75" figures to start costing $13 apiece.

$13 is a bargain, the recommended retail price is $14.99!

It's understandable, what with the rising cost of oil and everything.

I got my subscription figgers today. No issues here. I just need to swap the radar dishes with NF Psyche-Out. Shipment #2 better be right around the corner...i.e. the end of next week or start of the following week. Then 2 shipments in Feb to catch us up. Plus, you know, finish it before the convention.

That new Beast [and Dark Beast] figger does look pretty neat. But I already have the Superhero Showdown figger from Toybiz's prime. They only setback with either option is that they don't offer both heads which each figger so you have the option have a non snarling blue Beast.
Not impressed with Bishop. He looks... leaner than he should. Ah... the old "rising cost of oil" I blame the Chinese. |

FYI - the stamp code on the subscription figgers is 43081...308th day of 2014 AKA November 4th. How were we supposed to get the figgers the end of October / early November if they weren't even finished in the factory until November 4th? Those damn dockworkers! ::shakesfisthard:: ::shakesfistharder:: !!!

Got my figgers today too. Really pleased.
And yeah I mean, we're looking at the cost of labor going up but it's possible, if oil prices stay depressed, that we could see prices drop a bit in the coming months. POSSIBLE, I said. I just feel like, you know, this super cheap oil is not the prices toy companies paid what they're using to produce the figures on shelves right this second.

FD:
Irid: Agreed. When oil prices come down, it takes weeks, if not months, for those price reductions to be seen at the consumer end. All of the more expensive oil is still working its way through the pipeline so to speak. It's only when oil prices rise that consumers see a rapid change. I'm betting I come home from work to a FedEx tag. And I'm okay with that, since the alternative is coming home to a box left out in the open in front of an apartment building. Or an empty space where that box once was. |
