Hey, I know this is all I seem to ask, but how's the book progressing? Got a picture for the "About the Author" picked out? You're not gonna go all Joe Carroll if this thing tanks, are you? |

Hicks, I spent most of Nov in the copy editing process. Now we are just waiting on a final iteration of the cover art. Galleys should proceed in March ish, provided everything goes to plan. Publication in the fall. If things go pear shaped in the process it gets punted to April of 2016 which was the original date till I proved to be well ahead of schedule
Who is joe carroll? Suppose I could google. Oh, that fox show? I mean, I'm not gonna kill anybody. I'll just try to write a better book.

Well, that's good to know. That things are still well underway, not that you're not going to kill anyone. Although that's good to know too.
But if you do raise a cult, just remember it never seems to go well. Foggerstein! Hellion, you can't fool me, I know you've got a Cupid costume you're just dying to wear. |

...only one person knew what I had picked out to wear to my funeral.
*removes said person from his Festivus card list* Now I'll just have to think up something even more inappropriate to wear in front of my grieving survivors. *googles broccoli banana hammock glitter* |

I half-ass read my way through the front page bit on Mark Weber. Since I did not bother to read the thread at all I apologize if this is redundant... Buuuuut... thoughts?

I'd be thrilled if late 2015 brought exactly the same as 2014; a small, easily found lineup of shared exclusives with a sprinkling of concept case figures and a couple of really sweet vehicles.

What Irid said, but with some effort put towards QC and materials.
I'm just glad that Hasbro is taking someone who's been successful with one product and putting him on a not-so-successful-lately product. It shows that they want a viable Joe product. Not sure what to make of the whole "listening to collectors" thing. But I can see them making army building a lot easier if they expand the pilot program of letting distributors order individual figures by the case. BBTS et al can order pallets full of Something Viper, reducing the strain somewhat on local B&Ms who would probably see a decrease in the scalper scouring effect, letting cases sell through more naturally and reducing pegwarming. Or I could just be dreaming again. And on a different note, my dad nearly lost his thumb today at work in a machine that wasn't designed to sever human parts but apparently does a pretty good job. It got sewn back on and the docs think he'll be okay in time. My brain is still having trouble digesting this. So much shit has gone wrong big and small lately that my head is spinning. So, Hicks, up for taking the new ride on a road trip in March? |
