Honestly, aside from price for a "complete" set, the Takara version is a better figure. I honestly have a bad habit of buying two each of TFs, especially in Masterpiece figures... but one Hasbro Soundwave is all I need. And that's only for the yellow visor and Buzzsaw. The colors on Hasbro's Rumble and Frenzy are a little bit washed out compared to the Takara figures and again there's the lack of paint on the inside of Soundwave's foot.

You see "washed out," I see show-accurate purple Frumble.
I opened my Hasbro set tonight to verify that the toys fared better than the box. And I was all, "OoOOOooooOOOOooOOoO!" I understand both sides of the Frumble color debate, and I'm not going to tell anyone else what to call their toys. I grew up on the cartoon though, so seeing those colors (or at least close enough to evoke them) on a toy made me go all happyface for a bit, no matter what name is on the box. Now I just gotta decide which to keep. /firstworldproblems Also, I picked up a Bludgeon on ebay tonight. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but I've decided to keep my Jetfire set intact. I didn't want to dick around trying to save $5 or so, so I sniped an auction by pennies. This is notable because my phone started buzzing as I was driving to Target to return a fan and I couldn't figure out why. When I parked I looked and remembered I had set an alarm for the auction end. So I decide to see if Sprint's garbage data would let me keep tabs, and see that the auction was still in my range. I did some quick math, factoring in shipping, and determined what the likely "round number" high bid would be IF it came in under my range. Then I added a dollar and 6 cents to it (randomly chosen), and waited. And waited. The last few minutes of the auction saw the typical dollar bid ups, and I rolled the dice on my data connection holding (no small thing with Sprint) and waited until there were 10 seconds left to place my bid. It did not immediately go through... but another bid did. Mine went through with 3 seconds left, leaving next to no time for anything but an auto-sniping program to react. My bid was more than a dollar over the current visible bid so it was valid... but it was only 6 cents over that bidder's max bid. This, gentlemen, is why you should never bid early on something you want. |

My SDCC crossover set is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. We'll see. I snagged an extra Jetfire on eBay for $90 shipped. Not too bad. Oh, and 3 items dropped in my PoL and I said ship that bad boy! The rest of my preorders are Transformer related. :(

Ain't nuttin wrong with Transformers preorders, son! It's not like there's anything Joe coming out after wave 4. And if we're comparing PoLs I've got you beat by a good $175.
Does anyone want the IDW Megatron and Bumblebee? I have a set of 4 that just dropped and I only want Pax and Trailbreaker. Got my Bludgeon in the mail yesterday. Looks... AWESOME. Fits... TERRIBLE. Seriously. He can't wear his helmet and his tassel thingy at the same time. |

He can wear both, you just have to finagle it. Once you so get the helmet to fit, though, TOUCH NOTHING.

I'm not sure if I'd need a diagram or a rubber mallet to believe you on this one.

Thanks!
And of course, the day after I click "ship" on my PoL the TFCC subscription Scourge comes in. Damn. My order is still in the warehouse, too. |

Call them up and see if they can work some magic.
I figure I'll give it the full two weeks to see if I can find the IDW deluxes I want before shipping. Maybe Tetra Sunstrom will come in by then, too. |
