I'm happy that you two were able to get them from BBTS.
Draw, I suggest you get both sets and simply resell the one you bought at the higher price. I mean, it's fair that I can tell if you ask what you paid for out of it. |

We'll see. That a lot of figgers though. I hate reselling figgers.
Anyone getting Metroplex? BBTS has him for $110 (plus $18 shipping for me). Amazon has him for $125 (free shipping). Hmmm. Not sure if I have the room. Or if I should wait for retail. Although he'll probably cost more at TRU. Walmart probably won't carry it. It's in the system for Target. |

Hicks, I don't even know what that last sentence means.
FD, if you want it immediately, go Amazon. I just got a note from BBTS that says they're holding until the 8/1 street date. TRU will probably have it higher than list ($125) since that's what they do. I don't foresee a problem getting them from Target after the initial rush. I kinda wish I did want Metroplex, but I seriously have no room for it. As far as ebay goes, the main "supplier" from Botcon, almar_ent, had about 30 auctions end overnight. All ended within a few bucks of $200, all with the same bidders near the end, and at least 5 by the same person. He then re-lists at least 10 auctions. Edit: looks like Amazon is holding off for August as well. From what I gathered, there were sporadic orders up about a week ago that have already shipped out. So, any of you wave 3.5 preorderers need to ditch any Ultimate Duke figures when they come in?

'Fraid not. Plan to use some extras as troopers, given that the extra head is perfect for it

If I'm reading the above right, I like that Hasbro is using a simple headswap trick as a lure for better sales. "Sure he can be Duke... but what if I do this? Boom, troop builder. Now, go buy it." But is that a Cobra on the forehead of the generic helmet?
Hellion, Draw bought two sets. The one from eBay was the higher priced set. I'm simply suggesting he hold on to the BBTS set as well and resell one of his sets at whatever price he paid for the eBay one. I don't think anyone can accuse him of scalping for that. Oh my goodness, have any of you watched this Mountain Monsters show on travel channel? It's redneck paranormal gold. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 06-29-2013 at 10:15 PM.. |

Nope, not a Cobra. Same head as on the driver of the ninja combat cruiser. It's meant to be a mount on the helmet, I believe, for optics.

They've been doing the extra generic head thing off and on since POC... Dusty and Firefly come to mind. I like it too.
Not sure if I'm keeping my Duke or not. After being pleasantly surprised that the movie didn't suck, and knowing that the ultimate figures were coming, I briefly had visions of getting the movie crew together for their own display. Then I remembered that we weren't getting decent versions of LJ, Colton, CC, or Jinx. So, meh. |

Yeah, the extra heads for PoC Firefly made for good enough Frag-Vipers. And the left overs worked well with Arctic Destro.
As for Duke, he'll make fine generic soldier. |
