Man, when you guys start talking about Transformers it's like you're speaking another dang language. I don't even know who half these characters are.
Has anyone out there seen an MU Angel on shelves? Because sheesh, I'd like to get hold of one. I've seen his wave-mates numerous times (Herc is a fantastic figure and needs to get a new head and gear and become Ares, post-haste) but never a whiff of Angel. |

Everyone knows who Soundwave is...
I've seen Angel once or twice, but I don't exactly go looking for Marvel figures. Hell, I haven't been looking for anything really. Anyway, I think I saw him at Walmart once and at a Comic shop once or twice. |

I haven't seen anything in the way of new MU since the helmet-less Juggernaut/oxidized Colossus two-pack that I passed on twice.
I'd really like to get an Angel at some point though. But it isn't a priority. I managed to pass on the ML Archangels after all. As for TFs, Irid, you are missing out. Especially with the Masterpiece line. I don't care much got the cartoon nostalgia and never read the comics [although the comic bios make some of the characters quite interesting] but I love cars that turn into robots. And the MP line is a well designed combination of excellent bot and alt mode. I honestly don't know of any reason not to buy Hasbro's MP-Soundwave, other than the [extremely large] chance he won't be readily available. The yellow visor should be easy enough to fix. I'm fairly certain you can break the face down enough to get the visor out entirely to paint it. But I look forward to it being as it is a G1 toy throwback. As for the shade of blue he'll be cast in, until we see some side-by-sides, I assume he'll be close to the Takara release. The only QC issue I've ever run into is the index finger. Like MP-10 it seems to not quite fit right in it's coupling. You won't break it, but it could be easily lost. But yeah, Soundwave, all five cassettes, one clean, nicely executed box... what's not to like about it? Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 06-13-2013 at 04:08 AM.. |

IMO, brand/console loyalty is silly. It's all about what you get for your money, not about the logo on the box. The only console I have from the current gen is a 360, and before that I had a PS2 and GC, before that N64 and PSX. They all had awesome games to play, and never once did I feel like I was wasting money. With that in mind, I don't see Xbox One (*headdesk*) as giving me a whole lot, if anything it's the other way around. Microsoft has made it very clear that they're out to please their content partners, not gamers (who will all be treated like potential criminals and should feel blessed to be given temporary permission to play some games ). So yeah, MS can FOAD. Any exclusive games I'll just have to miss out on. Oh well.
The PS4 lineup hasn't really impressed me so far. It's the same vibe I got with the last round of console reveals: take a gander at the same stuff you've been playing, just shinier! It took a while for developers to figure out ways to use the new power in ways other than making stuff look prettier. So we'll see what the landscape looks like in a year or two after some games are out and a price drop happens. That'll also leave time to see how Sony's side-stepping ("DRM is up to the developers") plays out. And since everyone loves to dismiss Nintendo because their crap is brightly colored (and not gritty and gray like the crap on "real" systems HARDCOAR BROFIST!) I'll say that Bayonetta 2 looks pretty awesome, and I didn't really pay attention to anything else. But I'm enjoying the hell out of Fire Emblem on my new-ish 3DS. In short, I like games. I don't care about your cloud, I don't care about your content partners, I don't care about watching tv through your box (as opposed to the box provided by the cable company who I have to pay either way), I don't care about your motion sensors, I don't care about your piracy "problem," I don't care about your marketing, I don't care about your brand, I don't care that you think it's a good thing to have your box on, drawing my power, all the time. I want games without the bullshit. It's a shame PC gaming features gaming genres I don't care for, with the ones I do like grossly underrepresented. And, you know, having to sit at my desk to play. |

I'm sort of with Hellion here. Neither console is screaming to me to buy it. I don't give two shits about using my console as a gesture-based remote control, and the only exclusive game that has gotten my attention even a little is "The Order 1866" and that'll probably turn out to be just a shooter with different set dressing.
The one game I have seen that I MUST PLAY WILL GET is "Mad Max," but that's going to be on current gen consoles as well. In the end I'll probably just stick with xbox when the time comes to upgrade, not out of any kind of brand loyalty, just out of sheer convenience (er, assuming gamertags and xbox live accounts transfer, which, if they don't...maybe not). Since my xbox is connected all the time anyway, the connectivity issue isn't a problem for me (but I totally get how it is for others). There's still the chance of a killer app game for either console showing up in the long run, however. As for TFs - Hicks, I'd be lying if I said that the Masterpiece toys didn't turn my head now and then, but my house is already too jammed full of crap. And my wife has taken a solid anti-TF stance. |

I'm pretty sure Live info will carry over. Although I can totally see it not carrying over just because "that's how we designed it." ("Kinect is required to be plugged in because that's how we designed it," etc.).
Can you tell I'm a bit miffed at MS? Irid, I'll add you tonight. My GT just adds another 42 since my usual username was already taken. I'll even have Gold active sometime in the near future since MS is giving away old games until the 'Bone is out. I bought a code last year sometime when they were on sale somewhere, but never had any reason to activate it. |
