Re: Looper SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILING SPOILERS
Where in the world does anybody sleep with their own mother? I mean, young Joe totally slept with Sara, the Rainmaker's mother...but she's not HIS mother. Unless I am very confused as to what you are talking about. I didn't see where Looper was headed at all. I thought "oh gee, young and old Joe are going to team up to take down the crime syndicate." And no. No they're not. Plus the dystopia was incredibly disturbing and Jeff Daniels as a crime under boss was a total mindfuck. To me, anyway. And Old Joe killing a kid, well - that was a shock, but I found it a very interesting twist. It's Bruce Willis, it is an older version of our protagonist, so you're predisposed to root for him. And then all the sudden, you can't. |

We saw Retaliation today and really enjoyed it. Much better than RoC IMHO and a step in the right direction. Anyone else see it yet? Did I read that right? Stephen Sommers executive producer?

And then all the sudden, you can't. Again, there's just the shadow of a moment where you could go, "Whaaaa?" Of course, there's the fact that Joe never shows signs of being a telekinetic. Or, at least not in the first loop we know to exist. As for the whole plot/story, it has been a long time since a movie has surprised me with it's ending. ------ ------ ------ As for the new Joe Movie, almost anything would have to be better than RoC. A brilliantly awful combination of Street Fighter's acting and the continuity of Command and Conquer's cut scenes. |

Hey, I happened to like Street Fighter.
Yes, I know it's a terrible movie. But it happened to reach that special kind of bad where it's entertaining still. RoC was just a mess. Still haven't seen Retaliation, probably going to be a while. |

Thanks for the heads up. I can see no fewer than 3 Gandalfs from where I sit. Others lurk in tubs upstairs. I think I'm good.

How many bathrooms do you have, anyway? And why are they populated by wizards?
