And Blind Master. And since I can't frigging find them in stores, Alley Viper and Dark Ninja too.

Yes... that night viper did look awesome. Honestly, I do kind of want maybe six of the Ret Alley Vipers, CGs and other troop builders of the sort. I'm just happy not spending the money to own them. Ten bucks a piece was hard to handle when it was BBTS' prices on troop builders, now that it's Wal-Mart's retail... And there are just too many TFs [official and 3rd party] coming along this year to invest in troop building joes.
I do like that Vintage Cobra Commander too. That Budo would be cool, I guess... but I really, really want to see the real-life equivalent strolling across today's battlefield. ... Such a stupid concept. As far as Budo goes, it's pretty obvious that this was NOT supposed to really be a modern movie figure, but more in line with an "ultimate" re-imagining. Or look at it like Gung Ho in dress blues. Or something. But yeah, I really would have preferred an ARAH update, which was originally no sillier than having endless ninjas crawling about. I'll take what they made, though. Quote:
And at the risk of being skewered, I'd rather have a stand than a helicopter backpack. Or a battle sled. Or a rocket launcher. Last edited by Hellion42; 03-10-2013 at 02:49 PM.. |

Forgive the nonsense, I'm kind of proud of my newest signature on TFW. Yes, it appears to be a real product. I may've added a bit though. Quote:

Hicks, you have the TRU Thundercracker, right? Comes with a stand? How does this compare to the MP03 stands? Are they interchangeable?
I... I think I'm gonna splurge on Sunstorm. But I want a stand. And I'm hoping I don't need to acquire a Thundercracker to get one. Also, what do you think the odds are of Hasbro releasing The blue Rainmaker as another regional exclusive next year? Say, Europe? And I know the yellow Rainmaker and Sunstorm are two different characters, but... yeah, I'm just rambling. Also, this set my G1 sensor to "tingly": http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/s...tra%20Squadron Last edited by Hellion42; 03-12-2013 at 01:37 PM.. |

Apparently, many the company has released some form of Hoptimus.
The stands are identical. Nothing's changed there. I still don't know why Hasbro keeps adding the missile racks to their releases of the MP-11 mold. You can't use them... Well, you can but it requires that you pop the null rays off. As for the blue rainmaker... I don't know. Acid Storm seemed like an out of the blue release to me when fans are chomping for the new mold release of Skywarp... but maybe Takara has a say in that. I'd like to see someone [iGear even] release him... but whatever. The Tetra-jets do look cool and I think many Classics fans will give in... but they're too small for my collection. They do look cool though. |

The Hoptimus Prime I had was from Victory brewing in Pa, makers of fine ales. I wasn't aware that anyone else had made a beer called that....but I guess a microbrewery can't trademark the name. O copywright, whatever it is.

Names are trademarked, you were right the first time.

Make the blue one another exclusive, and then people will be fighting over it instead of letting it shelfwarm. And didn't iGear do a blue jet, aside from Not-Thundercracker? Cool about the stands. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger even though I'm moving again quite shortly. |

I have only a handful of Classics figures. Many of which stand in where they can for the new MP-Line.
iGear had a prototype blue and white seeker that never saw mass release. Or even mass "prototype" release like Rainforest, Current and G2 Ramjet. Come to think of it, I think the blue one was also listed as Current originally. You know, if you'd stay out of trouble with the law, you wouldn't have to move so often. Irid, I think this version of Hoptimus is out of England. Also, did you need MU Kang? I found a second and picked him up yesterday. |
