Meh, I'd say that since the Canadian figures are just customs, without the box and other pieces, everyone's going to have a had time claiming a "legit" piece... That in understanding, Seem legit enough for the Ancient Aliens guy.
Edit: Okay, provided I get up before they close [and it's not raining], I'm going back to the storage unit today and finding those filecards I owe Hellion. And also, the first of my Junkion lots came in the mail. I can't wait to get some free time and start customizing them. Rock on re: the file cards. Any chance you'll be mailing them with that Python Patrol Motor Viper? I kid, I kid, I know you're attached to that one. Junkion lots? As in the TFCC Insecticon favored ones? Eh, I try not to get into those arguments. There's folks around here that take things way too seriously. |

Not drunk, just high... on life? You should hear me talk. It's like Boomhauer's ramble with Black Dynamite's "wisdom".
"Sometimes the worst plan you've got is the best plan to go with..." Anyway, if you're happy to own him and there's really no one out there that can argue with 100% certainty that it isn't real, you're good. I'd try to touch up that visor though. And no such luck on the Python Motor Viper. He's one of the best ideas to come from RoC. No, they're just plain old Junkheaps. But there's a guy on TFW selling custom heads and armor to individuate them more. I'd like to turn at least one into the Action Master Axer. Fast Draw: Yeah, as your quotes and mine imply, "professional" is such a subjective word. But not for me, I'm keeping my amateur status to compete in the customs Olympics. |

I am getting closer to having an actual work area... one where I can leave projects out indefinitely and work when I can. I'm thinking instead of trying to pick up where I left off (painting custom heads for Cutter and Grand Slam), I should just raid the BST bin and try to come up with something new. That may sound counter-intuitive, but I figure I'm going to be very rusty after not having picked up a brush in 2+ years. I'm likely to screw up. And if I do, I'd rather it be something that I wouldn't get pissed about if it got wrecked. Customs Olympics here I come?
I might have seen one of the custom heads at the last Destro Dealer Table Con. Well, I DID see a custom Junkion head, not sure if it's the same ones you got though. And yeah, I'm happy to get the figure. I really didn't think I ever would. I think there'll always be a bit of doubt in the back of my mind about it's authenticity, but I'll live. Edit: Oh yeah, I also got Glenda's whirligig this week for under $40. It wasn't really on my wants list, but I noticed a glut of them and figured I'd see what I could do. I'm having pretty good luck on eBay these days. Post office... not so much. Last edited by Hellion42; 08-19-2012 at 01:26 AM.. |

The glut came from the Club giving those as attendee exclusives to the vendors this year. I got one for $50 from Marauder John.

These Junkion parts are made by a person called Maiden Japan... I have a link somewhere. I've seen a lot of neat stuff using a compound that creates an "aged" or "rusted" look on surfaces, I want to try it.

That's a big when... I haven't even ordered anything. But yeah, in time, perhaps.

Everyone stay cool when I say this, but Cadillac has put a new technology in their cars that warns you of unseen danger through a pulse in your seat.
That's right, Spider-sense for you ass. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 08-19-2012 at 09:32 PM.. |
