Even though it totally makes sense to swap Prowl and RA's bodies, I decided against it back in the day. Laziness I guess.

My unsolicited thoughts on the club sub:
Overall, lots of solid but unexciting figures with a couple of duds and a couple of standouts. Provided the price (including shipping) isn't outrageous I think I'll be ponying up. Thoughts? Last edited by Hellion42; 11-19-2011 at 05:20 PM.. |

I'm definitely in for the sub, and I really want it to succeed, because I think if it goes forward with some success, it can only get better.
My short take: the only figure I'll look to move is the Nano Bat, which just, bleah. I have enough BATs, I think. Longer, in a Good, Bad, and Goofy Format Good: Big Boa - Spectacular. Cover Girl - Wish the hair was darker, but I am all for more female characters. Jinx - Really love it. Love that it's an update of the concept as well as the character. Tan Grunt - I totally understand if people are 'meh,' and there is a nostalgia factor for me, as I LOVED Tan Grunt as a kid. Topside - Totally dig it. Would like a more 'armored' look, but not bad at all. Miss the rockets but not surprised they aren't there. Barrel Roll - Maybe in the 'good enough' camp. I also would've preferred a different deco, but I don't dislike it. Quarrel - Love international Joes. More female Joes. Etc. Bad: Sure Fire - The inclusion of this character doesn't bother me, but I would have MUCH preferred his blue/black color scheme. Nano BAT - Blargh. Goofy: Iron Klaw - So weird. TNT - The kind of weird I really love. Bright silver? Yes. Sold. Dice - Goes here because I don't hate him but I can't call it 'good.' Slice will wind up being either the 13th figure, or lead off the 2nd sub, right?

Alright then:
Big Boa: I like that the hands are swappable as opposed to having way too over sized gloves that slip over the basic hands. But I can already hear the "My Big Boa's wrist pegs broke!" complaints from excessive swapping. Cover Girl: Just as I expected her to be. And the hair color doesn't bother me on the personal reguard that I have a second Sparta. Jinx: Don't care for it. I've seen two different examples of better Jinx kitbashes and can't accept "Sorry, this is the best we could do..." Grunt: Better than the TRU one we got. Topside: Don't know enough about the character to pass judgment. But I reckon I'm happy that everyone else is happy to have him. Barrel Roll: I like him. Granted, I had no idea where he came from before looking him up on yojoe.com but, yeah, I like that they made an attempt to span the decades with a character that isn't terrible. Quarrel: Nice to finally see the figure get out there. Sure Fire: Another I know little about. But I've gathered enough to see why he's around. Eh, least you won't have to worry about getting him next year. NanoBAT: Never liked it. I think the only hype is that he wasn't released as originally planned. He'd've warmed shelves if he'd been mass released. Iron Klaw: Again, the attempt to recognized all the decades is noted, and he's a better choice than the bulk of Extreme... But this isn't a decent representation. Neck is way to long. TNT: They could've toned down the colors a lot. Dice: I'd've rather seen him come out with Slice in a Comic 2 Pack when those were an option instead of another Snake-eyes and Storm Shadow. Looks Great, just not worth me subscribing. And if Slice is the incentive figure to rope folks into subscribing, a lot of Ninja Force fans will be upset that they had to buy all those other figures just to get him. But that's not my problem... I will not be subscribing. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 11-19-2011 at 07:42 PM.. |

Just hoping I can find Cover Girl for a not-outrageous sum.

For me (as of now):
Definite Keeps Big Boa Cover Girl Dice Topside Tan Grunt TNT Quarrel Unsure Agent Jinx Nano BAT Don't Like; Possible Trades Barrel Roll Sure Fire Iron Klaw Something looks off on Iron Klaw. Barrel Roll looks very dull to me and that helmet is goofy looking. I don't like that color scheme on Sure Fire. It may look better in person. I don't really care for that Jinx, but it's OK looking I suppose. I like BATs, but I'm not sure if he fits for me. The others are obvious likes for me. I like ARAH figures the most. I like the international figures alright. I've got most of the other 25th/ME versions. I think I'm just missing Blades. I'll likely be getting one subscription and trading/selling off some of the ones I don't want. I'll open the ones I keep. I wish these were loose as that would have brought the price down, too.

Yeah, I would've loved having these sold loose as well. I'm probably going to end up keeping them all, since the ones I don't want likely won't have much value after the fact. If I can swing it, I'm probably going to get two subs to defray some of the cost. I'm not a fan of scalping, but from what I understand me buying more will just increase the number made, rather than restrict availability for anyone else. If selling off an extra CG, Big Boa, and Dice (and the 13th I guess) wipes out the problem for me actually having to pay money for a Sure Fire, I'm down.
