I got my WG from BBTS as part of the "set-of-4", then found one at Marshall's for $6. I had an arrangement to sell my WG (and Perceptor, which I had also picked up at retail... lemme start over. ) I bought the set because I was going to get my WG that way at a reasonable price, sell the Perceptor at cost, have a G2 Prime to play around with, then just have an extra Bumblebee. I found the WG at Marshalls, asked the other guy if he wanted the WG from my BBTS order, he said yeah. Then he also found it at retail. He still bought my Perceptor. I also ended up not liking G2 Prime... too small. So, I netted exactly nothing out of buying the set, though I did help someone get a Perceptor. So if anyone needs a WG, RtS BB, or loose G2P, let me know.
Also, I thought the Hasbro Junkion had a new head? Let's count: RtS Wreck-Gar e-Hobby Junkion (new head and $$$$$) Generations Junkion (which head?) United Wreck-Gar (WG head) |

it's newer... but still looks like Wreckgar to me.
And Hellion's right, he became a discount retail "exclusive". Which is a shame because both he and Perceptor were two of the best in the line. Which seems to be an all too common [and unfortunate] trend. Edit: South Park's "History Channel Thanksgiving" makes me happy. "...Kyle of DeVry University." I'm fed up with these discount store dumps, especially since they seem to be chains that don't exist here. bah! I really wanted a couple of those not-robotech cycles while we're on the topic.

You mean not-Mospeada? If they ever find their way down here, like the formerly-Canadian-exclusive RoC alpha wave 3, I'll keep in mind that you're looking for one.
And I'm positive WG made it to regular retail in halfway decent numbers. I found Perceptor at regular retail several times, and the guy I had the deal with found his at regular retail. I saw tons of G2 Prime and BB. So the wave made it out. The problem was that it was the last wave in a line, and a sub-line at that. There's no subsequent assortments planned to get more product out. Pegwarmers cockblock new inventory. Stores were already ramping up for TF3, too. Generations wave 4 looked like it was going to suffer the same fate, but I guess the big box stores liked the line, since they appeared eventually. RtS got dumped into TJ Rosshalls purgatory. I have no idea what distribution is going to be like for Generations wave 5... only that it only has two new figures, and it'll be fighting Christmas. I don't even know if there's a wave 6 planned. Hence my overpriced preorder at BBTS. I'm also kind of kicking myself for not getting the e-Hobby Junkion at a con last spring. $75... still too much for a toy, but I paid $50 for a Ratchet that day and was kicking myself the whole time for not just ponying up the $20 or whatever it was BBTS was asking when it was new. Also, I took a closer look, and the repaint WG looks like the same head without the antennas, painted to look like it's wearing glasses, and no goatee. The 'stache is still there, so it pretty much looks like WG. |

I have no idea what these not Robotech cycles are.
As for the other, I can say that I never saw that wave at all at retail. And for Cover Girl, pretty much what I expected. |

Cover Girl was the last straw for me skipping the subscription. I was hoping she'd be a knockout fig but instead they gave us scowling plainness in wig.
the not-Robotech (thanks Helion) was the Ashikage Cycle or whatever they called it, it was a Cyclone knock off and for that reason I wanted a dozen of them.

That head sculpt has seriously seen better days... like the days before the club touched it. |

So, anyone else bust out the popcorn for the official CG reveal thread? I would, but I'm busy getting told what I can and can't like, say, or do.
