If Bruce Willis has as much screentime as Dennis Quaid did in RoC, I'll be rather surprised.

So...I have 2 Fast Draws now. My friend Airtight had given me a 2nd head for the Fast Draw he made. I made a trade + cash with Raginspoon for the Fast Draw he made minus the head. I used the 2nd head from Airtight (It's one of the repaints from the TRU greenshirts pack with a modified RoC gunship helmet. Here are pics of both.

Doooood... don't just black out the old name on the stand, re-label it!

Yeah, I like the new one. It's amazing that Hasbro doesn't make more use of these pieces and make characters like Fast Draw. But yeah, I like it.
As for GI Joe MK II, Bruce Willis pretty much proved he could still get around in RED, or so I thought. I really hope he gets his share of the screen time. In fact, the whole movie could be him, Johnson and Park swinging away at guys in blue overalls and I'd be happy. That alone would make it three times better than the last one. |

And speaking of bad movies, I just watched TF3 last night on DVD (rental). How should I put this.... it was probably the only movie that could possibly be worse than Skyline.

I didn't black it out / scrape it off; Airtight did. I'm too lazy to paint it.

Who needs paint? Print a label from Excel, white text, black fill. Cut to size, blacken the edges with a sharpie, you're good to go. Works best when you've got several stands to customize so as not to waste labels. I've got a spreadsheet around if you want it, complete with close-enough fonts and cutoff points for whatever avery label sheet I happened to have laying around at work at the time.

I thought TF3 was better than TF2... Which isn't saying much. But yeah, TF3 just kinda took plot lines from two or three different old G1 episodes, mashed them together with hints of Battle for LA and Terminator: Salvation and turned Sentinel Prime into a traitor.
I did like Laserbeak though. Every scene he was in made the movie quite a bit darker. I just can't get over how many different Cybertronian Artifacts have managed to find their way to Earth in the Bay-Universe. The only thing that could be worse would be to find out that the Earth was actually made out of Unicron... ...Oh, wait. Now, that al said, I suppose that if I were making TF4, which seems likely to happen given the hype the movie franchise is getting, I'd take scrap pieces of Sentinel and Megatron and create Galvatron to lead the army of Decepticons. -- You guys need to talk to Reprolabels or Cobrastickers and talk them into printing out massive sheets of Code Name: [So forth]... Be a lot like the License Plates Reprolabels made for the Alt/BT line back in better days. I'd say that for fifteen bucks they'd be able to print off 30-40 code names to a sheet and still make a profit. |

If they combined Megatron and Sentinel to make Galvatron (cool idea by the way) they would already have Nimoy's voice so they're ready to go.
My biggest problem with the three Bay films is that they are basically any other action movie with some occasional robots. The humans do all the work, get 80%++ of the screen time and basically make all the decisions. The grand battle at the end of TF3 had nearly no Autobot involvement and Prime got tangled in some f'ing cables and had to literally hang around for help? Seriously?! He's got a damn sword in his arm and he's alien-robot-super-strong. Pathetic really. You would think the Transformers would be the stars of movies called Transformers. Bah! I wash my hands of it all, I just want my G1 Japan TF collection from Shout!!!!!! That is one of my holy grails and we're thiiiiiis close.

You know, I was a fan of Beast Wars. Over all, I thought the first part of that series run was decent story telling. More along the lines of the one G1 episode "Golden Lagoon".
My one gripe with TF3 that I declared beyond stupid was the random first person shooter angle the camera took during the fight scene. Awful, awful... |
