I never had Night Force figures as a kid, but I wish I did. I've got all three of those and hope they release more in the future.
The hair is covering the ear on the right side, while the ear is poking through the hair on the left. Weird, but whatever lol.

Sure looks to me like his right ear is located at chin-level.
So anyway... I see the new Barrel Roll (bleh), and pull out my LMC BR to take a pic or two. Then I drop the helmet, which bounces into the realm of Underbed. And since my knee is all torn up, I can't properly look for it. So then I go to get my camera, and the batteries are dead. So I charge em up and read the BR bitchthread. Then, upon inserting freshly charged batteries, my camera won't turn on. I'm all WTF! Then I double-check the polarity (which was correct) and try again. Success! Except for the fact that all it shows is a black screen. And that's exactly the kind of pictures it takes now, too. And... I have a cold. Not my shining moment, for sure. Edit: On a positive note, while digging in what little of the realm of Underbed I could reach, I found an unopened pack of socks that I will immediately put to good use. Other edit: Last edited by Hellion42; 11-02-2011 at 03:37 AM.. Reason: The socks! How could I forget about the socks? I feel like such a fool. And a pomegranate. Which is really odd, let me tell |

I am going to try to get some of my old junk up on eBay over the weekend. Nothing special, just toys of a spoiled childhood that my parents never got rid of for whatever reason. I think it was just so they could laugh as they unloaded it at my place that fateful day. Anyway, we'll see what TMNT and Ghostbusters do. I also picked up possibly the greatest Lego figure ever made: The Lego Lumberjack with Beaver ballcap. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 11-05-2011 at 05:03 AM.. |

Well, I managed to dig out what I think is the bulk of my old TMNT and Ghostbusters stuff. Expect the firehouse... Man, that thing has managed to bury itself in plain sight on the top shelf. And the TechnoDrome, it could use some help.

I can't say I was spoiled, but I definitely had some sweet toys. Too bad my dad let the neighbor kids use them outside while I was a teenager. It sucked finding my Phantom in a snow bank.

Yeah, that would suck. As a kid, I actually took very good care of my toys and that's what typically helped prompt my parents into buying me things that I asked for, the fact that I seldom just destroyed my toys. They didn't think I was just wasting their money.
Unfortunately, 20 years of neglect and a move halfway between where things were packed in a hurry and forgotten didn't help maintain anything. I mean, they're mostly in good shape still but the Ecto-1's are a little brown and a few of the soft figures have that oily feel to them that's transferred to other figures in the bin. Can't believe I slept through the broken Decepticharge auction... could've had him for 11 bucks. Edit: Japanese TF set? I assume this is the post Movie tv series... With the headmasters and so forth. Honestly, no.... Not unless you come back on here and tell us that they're the single great TF series ever, Kia-guy. Watching old TF cartoons after 20 years kinda ruined the childhood memories by realizing just how terrible they could be. Alright then... Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 11-07-2011 at 01:01 AM.. |

Yeah, I was all psyched when Rhino released the G1 DVD sets years ago... I think I had the first 3 bought before watching more than an episode or two. When I really tried watching them, I couldn't take more than one episode at a time. I seriously couldn't sit through it. I was totally bummed. On the other hand, I was moderately impressed with how well GI Joe held up over the years. We'll see if that impression holds up after sitting through some of the Shout Factory releases.
D-charge for $11? Not bad. I remember thinking when it was released, "If only they had painted the whole thing instead of just the hood (and roof?)" That was a pretty wicked deco. And I'm now reminded of this, which is possibly one of the most awesome things ever created. Although I do like my Wildrider better: Last edited by Hellion42; 11-07-2011 at 02:43 AM.. |
