So here's a fun one. I'm not allowed to use the internet at work anymore (BREAKIN' THE LAW, BREAKIN' THE LAW.... well, breakin' the rules, anyway) and my home computer is dying and won't stay on for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. So answering emails and browsing the few forums I'm still on has become a challenge.
So, you know, that's fun. Right in time for Hicks to send me stuff. Woo-hoo!

You know, Fogger, needlepoint or even simple quilting will fill those pesky work hours quite nicely. No need for internet at all really.

Speed of light = 300,000 km/s (approx.; actually 299,792.458 km/s) Speed of ejecta = 1,000~10,000 km/s Distance to sun = 149,597,870.7 km (mean) With those parameters, an upper limit of 10,000 km/s would give you over four hours, where a lower limit of 1,000 km/s gives you over 40. ... too much?

The OG Fast Draw BP is basically hollow so he stands just fine. I know it looks like he should fall over, but he doesn't.

What came to mind, though, was the image of an actual human being trying to stand wearing such an immense backpack. It reminds me of high school.

Blah, I'm sticking with eight minutes. Course, I'll be in my underground bunker paid for with government tax dollars with plenty of freeze dried food and ovaltine cause you can make that with water... it just doesn't taste as good. Then I've played enough Fallout 3 to have a pretty good idea of how handle myself in the aftermath: Stay in the damn Vault.
What's all this jibba-jibba about nonsense about? High school was awesome once I realized I had a locker. First two years sucked though. So, I just watched the last hour of Suicidegirls Must Die [cause, yeah, that's what I do after getting home from work and the other affairs when Phineas and Ferb is a multitimes over rerun...] So, its basically that they took [triple]x-number of goth/punk whatever they call themselves wannabes and stuck them on an island with a fictional murder mystery, Blairwitch style thing that none of the girls realized was well, fictional. And man, dumb bitch goth girls get mean when they're being screwed with. And I thought the whole goth idea was that they wouldn't care if people went missing. Course, I had to finish watching just to assure myself that the calendar would get released on schedule... Cause that's the driven plot device. The calendar shoot must go on! All the boobs and girls making out just distracted from the b-horror reality show gone awry. Admittedly, even with the concept being nothing more than a longer version of that Scare Tactics show, it would make for a great movie in itself. People really are at their finest when they're scared shitless. I just can't accept that this movie didn't have some scripted elements when the last three surviving girls are all alone locked in a room filmed by a camera guy who awkwardly shakes the camera around to keep the sound guy out of frame. |

Oh, and needlepoint is for little old women, self scarification seems to be what the kids are into today.

But... that's wrong. I showed it. With MATH.
Don't be arguing with math, son.

Hicks, I have no idea what you're talking about... but I do know that some of the Suicide Girls models are hot as hell, despite all of the ridiculous hardware and "look at me I'm different!" tattoos.
Fogger, you may have math'd, but you forgot to take into account the speed of accompanying radiation, which should kill you (or at least royally screw you) before the ejecta actually hits. Last edited by Hellion42; 10-05-2011 at 11:41 AM.. |
