I don't collect Transformers at all, and I don't intend to start, but all this talk of Masterpiece Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime made me look at some pictures, and the 9 year old in my brain who really loved the original Rodimus Prime really, REALLY wants one of these. But my wife would kill me.

Not so much second thoughts to, "Man, that's a crap market..." I'd at least like to break even on the bulk of it and balance out the good [SDCC/GIJCC] with the bad [RoC].
So, I think I've got my next sig pic. Now all I need is to find my camera which I haven't seen in... years. It still uses floppy discs. *waits patiently for Hicks to decide to sell his Joecon figures* Quote:

My only gripe with the design [outside QC issues] now is the shoulder articulation. For whatever reason, they neglected to account for all the back and chest hindering the shoulder's from pivoting freely about the designed axes. In the end, you're very limited on poses and none are too dynamic.
To follow up with Hellion's thoughts, I have taken the one well assembled TRU Rodimus from bot to car several times without fear of breaking him... except for the wrist cannon/exhaust pipes. The pivot is a little tight and I thought I might break them off rather than free the first time. I agree that the Takara one feels a lot more fragile though. Especially when trying to cram the car into the camper section. I'll never get him back apart I don't think. Also, once you get to the point where you know the transformation, it really isn't that complicated either. You can kinda feel your way through the steps the second time even. Typically though, this is why I buy two of each TF I own. I'm lazy and like to be able to display in each mode. Pricey at times, but I also don't buy every TF out there which helps offset the expense. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 08-20-2011 at 11:55 PM.. |

As for my JoeCon stuff, you've still got first bids on the International stuff. But you'll have to take Starduster if you get Manleh. They look so happy together in their matching jumpsuits.

Not so far as I can tell. Course it's now five hours after the question. They may've done some routine maintenance or something.

maybe 'cause I've been away a while, I feel like posting something on topic.
Just for fun. Any guess on when we're gonna see pre-orders for the Sci-Fi, Zombie, Lifeline & Friends wave? |

Dunno about preorders, but hopefully BBTS gets in their stock later than retail for 30th. I really don't want to order sets of these just to get the handful I want.
And, on a somewhat-related topic, if anyone wants a pink Zarana, I'm cancelling the one in my PoL in a minute or two. |
