Got the last of my JoeCon stuff in today. Gotta say, the stuff is a lot more impressive in person. Even the Trigger and Lightning set though they have some issues holding their rifles.
Still think I'm going to save my money and try to make the convention on a Golden Ticket. Watch it wind up in Washington State. |

That would suck. I wouldn't mind next year's con being in Philly. I'd save a bundle on lodging. Well, actually I wouldn't, because I don't think I'd ever travel very far to go to a convention. Anyway, glad you like the figs. I'm still waiting on the shipping notice for my Brazil stuff.
And I take it nobody's interested in splitting those TF cases? ^_^; |

Decided I wasn't gonna shell out for the con set. I'm watching some Claymores in some stores online, but we'll see. In the end it was probably a choice between the con set, and any more Sideshow Joes this year. I chose Sideshow Joes.

If I was into the 12" stuff at all I'd be all over those.

I never collected 12" stuff before, but I snagged Snake-Eyes on a whim. He alone wasn't actually that great; wife got me Storm Shadow for Christmas that year; then I got Duke, and from Duke on each one has been an improvement, and they are ever more impressive.
I have a few rules; I never get ANY of the individual troop types, and I have to like both the character and the design. So I don't yet have a CC because I prefer the helmet to the hood; so far I have Duke, Snakes, Flint, Beachhead, Firefly, and SS. They are the only part of my collection that makes me feel both like a grownup AND like a kid. Beachhead and Firefly in particular are amazing.

I got my PP Stinger and Motor-Viper in the mail today. It's awesome. I'm still waiting for the rest though. The Club has yet to ship my Con set. That eBay seller has yet to ship my Moccasin (paid on the 1st...in-hand and "ready to ship"...yea). He did leave me feedback today, so perhaps it shipped. He said Monday the latest. I'm waiting for my friend to get his Con stuff in the mail (he shipped it back). He got me the 2-pack and the parachute figure.

Gentlemen, may I propose an alliance re: the Green Blowtorch and Python Patrol Croc Master variants? I'll want both of them, more than likely, and I'm assuming at least some of you will as well. I realize we're a few weeks (at least) away from seeing them in stores, but I do hope we can aid each other when the time comes.

Sure. I believe they'll be in revision cases / are running changes. I've got a case of each on order that I'm splitting with a friend. If the variants are in there, I'll be all set. If not, I think we may have to get them online. We'll have to wait and see.

I don't know how the cases are gonna break down yet for these variants. I'm hoping that like the MU figures, Variant will be plentiful and possibly in the same case. If that is the case I may have some extras, they'll be open to you all first of course. I'm sure bbts will also have some before its over. For two and half times the retail.
Sideshow stuff is nice but my troop building mentality would have me spending waaaaay too much on Vipers. I'm good with the four inch stuff... They are pretty though. |
