I actually like the bulk of it this year. I think the WM Pilot is a little weak but the rest are alright. And the prices at the convention are fairly reasonable...
Now, 200 for a carded Dial tone on Ebay is a bit lame. |

So... I've been keeping an eye on eBay on my way home from work, I'm impressed by the numbers of each item folks are selling. The Club must have really cranked these out this year. Man, I think I'm gonna start saving my pennies and try to go next year.
Also, is that the Armadillo that would've come with Outback or whoever? Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 04-01-2011 at 05:31 AM.. |

I think so. And I probably would have bought them at the con if I had gone as well, or if some benevolent soul decided to offer them to me at or near cost. I really like how they set everything up this year. In my eyes these are the perfect con exclusives: neat, but not something your average collector is going to feel like he's missing out on.
Edit: just saw the prices on the Stinger/Moccasin. Hory sheet. Last edited by Hellion42; 04-01-2011 at 06:12 AM.. |

Yeah, I'd like to know who set the standard of doubling the cost and putting it on eBay... And kick him in the nuts.
I must confess that when I saw a Carded Dial-Tone for a hundred bucks and six shipping, I went ahead and bought it. The other two the seller had sold as I was making my purchase this morning around 3 am traveling down I-64. It's waaaaaaaaay too much, I realize, but it'll be the lowest we see for a while, I suspect. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 04-01-2011 at 02:18 PM.. |

Some people use the exclusives to pay for the Con trip. I understand it, but I don't have to like it.
No carded Dial-Tone for me. I can live with the loose one. No CC either. My friend picked up the 2-pack and the parachute figure for me. Awesome guy. The vehicles were sold out when he went back so I grabbed them on eBay. $120 for the Stinger w/ Motor-Viper and $75 for the Mocassin. Oh well. They were the cheapest BINs on there right now. |

Well, if it's worth that to yas... I'm good with the loose DT as well. The CC is a nice little extra, but not something I'd track down. The vehicles are just WAY too much to be worth it for me. I may get the TV if any make it to the club store.

Well, I have a feeling that I'm going to be wrapping up some collections soon. I'm definitely calling it quits on TFs soon.

Jazzwares. Lulz. When they make a figure that doesn't look like it came out of 1998, I might buy from one of their lines.
So, in the Fall, Hasbro's pretty much gonna have all my money. Them and the club. Between Data Vipers, reduxes of classics...that Lifeline might be the new gold standard...and the club subscription, it's gonna be an expensive time. May have to make the wife get a second job. Also, Kwinn; proof that my love for Hasbro is not unrequited.
