Man, I love me some Coast to Coast AM. Listening to the Earthquake end of the established world scenario right now... Good stuff. It would seem we're in for a real wild ride come twenty-thirteen.
Glad I'm wasting all my money right now while it means something. Which reminds me, finally got in an Anakin/Twilight SWTFC[lmnop]. ...All this effort for his head. |

Around my neck of the woods a bunch of people have bought into some crazy far-right fringe Christian group that dates the rapture on May 21 of this year. I keep saying that I should go find these people in mid-May and make lowball offers on their houses, cars, TVs, etc.

Considering these yahoos have billboards on I95 and those annoying lawn signs lining roads (until someone takes them down because they're illegal), my guess is that the asshats in charge have already done exactly that to all of the willing sheeple.

Personally, I can't wait. I'm wanting to bash in some demon heads. Earn my way into Heaven... I've even got a baseball bat picked out. I mean, guns are nice, but a baseball bat adds that personal touch |

I'd say, "I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when the date of destiny rolls around and jack shit happens," but folks like this have had so much practice rationalizing away their failed predictions over the millennia that they'll figure out a way to pretend that continued complete normalcy is exactly what they were expecting all along (provided there's no Kool-Aid passed around in preparation for the non-event). And someone somewhere will be divinely inspired to pick a new date at random and the dance begins again.
And on a slightly different level of annoyance, Firefox's dictionary did not contain "millennia." I don't understand why it just won't use the friggin OS-level spell checker... and text boxes, for that matter. I hate it when programs insist on reinventing the wheel. And just to talk about something positive, I could really go for a Chipotle burrito right about now. Dat sum good sheet right dere. |

Had one on Wednesday; your basic rice and beans, BUT, braised short ribs, goat cheese, spicy pico, sweet pickled peppers, and red pepper walnut sauce. It's Chipotle for foodies. And it is fantastic. And Firefox is spellchecking "chipotle" but not "foodies."

The thing is though, I'm not a foodie. Not even close. I'm not big on goat cheese, pico, or pickled anything. The sauce sounds interesting though.
And now I'm hungry. Danmit. |

Goat cheese is delicious.
Pico just means pico de gallo...onions, tomatoes, cilantro? This things aren't exotic. Pickles? You wouldn't eat pickles? I am confused.

I am a picky bastard. It helps to understand this lol.
No, I don't like pickles. Why not? I don't like vinegar. As for pico de gallo, I guess I've never noticed it unless it's had jalapeños in it (since that's how it was introduced to me). (And to save time, I don't like eating jalapeños. If the flavor is cooked in, fine, but I dislike biting into them.) Onion, tomato, cilantro just sounds like plain-jane salsa to me. Some more fun facts that people constantly look at me crosswise for: I love raw carrots, but not cooked ones. I love tomato sauces but raw tomatoes don't do anything for me. I don't want my steak to bleed when I cut it. I don't like eating ribs wings etc because of the gigantic mess it makes. I mix my veggies in with my mashed potatoes. I can only take so much spicy food before I get annoyed that I can't taste anything BUT the spice. As I said, I'm not what one would call a foodie. |
