And its a TJ Maxx. You grossly overestimate the money put into presentation to suggest they might invest in velvet roping. Shelves and boxes of for sale items had been crudely structured and stationed as way points to establish line boundaries... AND GIVEN THE GENERAL DISARRAY OF THE STORE i, oh that's supposed to be capped, I just assumed I was walking down an aisle.

Oh, and I know you are but what am I
Edit: Oh, and to be continued whenever I get around to it. Edit, the Second Coming: Oh, and I saw several Kotas, they were part of the wall used to make the line markings. |

I needed one of those for about a week, before my girlfriend's sister changed her allegiance from Scarlett to Baroness, making the task of surprising her with a retro-themed modern Joe figure for exmas about $20 more difficult. |

Fun story. I tried to get a coffee at a Speedway a while back, sounded just like your trip to the Maxx.

About as gold as a rotten tooth.
If you look at IG Destro, you'll say, "huh, gold head..." then look at this viper and go, "I think it could be the lighting, maybe." I can't really declare it gold by intent. Still looks to be an aging issue to me. |

I've got a couple of shiny-face Vipers (5-pack and crimson) with no sign of yellowing. Unless there's some super-special reactive air inside of those HoH boxes/bubbles (or it's the packaging itself that's discolored) I don't think I buy the whole aging argument. Feel free to send me your sample so I can judge firsthand.
On a side note, I had preordered the HoH Viper back in the day, but held off on opening it until I snagged a 5-pack. When I got to compare the two side by side, I determined I didn't really need the HoH version since it was nearly identical. I had half-plans on giving the HoH visor a yellow clearcoat, but I was able to find a buyer before I got around to it. I find it amusing that the yellow ones are now popping up. |

I keep biting my damn lip. And it freaking hurts...
Seriously, I bit it three days ago and everytime it gets to healing, chomp. And now to the Viper. I'm inclinded to believe that China may've just gotten cheap with the materials. |

I went a little overboard today... maybe it was the lack of sleep impairing my judgment [2 days and counting!] or the TRU sale. No B1G2 but two for $9.99 ain't bad.
Anyway, the non Joes: MU Spidey 2099 World War Hulk Spider Woman Some guy MMA guy named Kimbo Slice [I picture him going "Kimbo Slice..." in a "Yoga Flame..." manner. Plus his head sculpt is unique enough that I really wanted this figure with his little, chicken thin legs. An ATeam Chevy Custom And a handful of the Lego Minifig blind bags. I don't know how, but I got doubles of two figures. Lousy gorilla and sumo are probably short packed for line bait. Now, for the Joes: One Quick Kick [there were several of him and Spirit] Five Fireflies Six Alley Vipers And from a store down the strip mall: Four DoCI sets. My Legion of Mindbenders continues to grow... For the record, its my last big haul for the year. Granted that's what? Three weeks? But still, I'm done. Short of Shock Troopers showing up and I just happen to find them, I'm good till 2011. |

Your TRU had that many AVs? O_o I picked up a Quick Kick myself a couple of weeks ago (also 2-for-$10 sale, the other was a PoC Duke that promptly became Muskrat). QK promptly ditched his gi top and replaced it with the sash from the horrid Hulk-Hogan-orange DVD set QK. I'd prefer bare feet on my QK, but given the superiority in all other aspects I'll deal with sneakers on the new figure.

I was never a big fan of a bare foot solider. So the new Quick Kick is welcomed by me.
And yes, six of them... I was digging through the five pegs worth of PoC going, "Ooo, another Alley-Viper... oo, another and another... Get outta the way Dusty! Oh, Firefly..." Man, I tell you, having the names up the side of the card art really helps the search. |
