It does, indeed.
I'll still have a Destro for ya, but no AVs.

I'm not buying the 7-packs for a few reasons. For one, I decided when I first starting collecting 25A that I was only going to collect/display one of each character, with exceptions made in certain cases where different versions are equally iconic (commando and ninja Snake Eyes, for example). B., I really don't like the Resolute designs (though the Destro toy came out excellent, and I'd grab an AV if I could get it reasonable-like). And lastly, I'm pretty much broke.

Works for me! At least not today. I am however guilty of waiting until clearance time to try and get some of the more duplicitously packaged collector-fanservice figures. Which is why I'm still trying to snag an Aero Viper and Aqua Viper Officer at this late date. |

I won't deal with Smalljoes at all, regardless of whether their product is cheaper or ships faster. I don't want to go smearing reputations in a public way. If you want to know why you can PM me, if anybody cares...it's not a personal thing. Just something I saw happen once that scared me away from ever dealing there.

Also, I am awesome because Tom Feister, awesome comic artist, commented on my blog and said I had an awesome Joe collection and he was jealous. Go me.

Gonna have to break down and just buy the sets, dude. Quote:

I've had 6 orders or so with SmallJoes before and those were perfect for me. That's just my experience though. It wasn't just the price of the products in this case. The shipping options and shipping prices were better.
The only decent option for me with BBTS is UPS and UPS is a pain. I have to stalk them. They never come at the same time, they won't leave packages, and I have to run down the stairs to get them before they disappear. I used the price difference to upgrade to Priority. The mailman comes around the same time every day and is in the neighborhood for a while. Even if I miss an attempt at my house, I can usually catch him before he leaves. It will be here quicker, too. I know some people have had problems with SJ, but I haven't and in this case I decided to order from them. I have wave 2 with BBTS because I have all those TFs on order and it will save me shipping. |

Wah wah, we want Resolute!
Wah wah, where are the figures?!?! Woo hoo! They're going to make them! Wah wah, online 7-packs only? Wah, wah!!! Wah wah these are too simple looking even though they're toon accurate for the most part. Wah wah, I'm not buying these until they give them away for $16. Wah wah, how come Hasbro doesn't do collector related exclusives anymore? WAH! this^^ for the win! |

Wah wah sis boom bah!
Whatever though I suppose. To each his/her own. At least we're getting them and they really are toon accurate for the most part. The price is a little higher because they most likely made less of them than the previous sets. It still ends up being cheaper than buying 14 figures at retail. Even if you bought them at BBTS with UPS (about $90) it ends up being about $6.43 per figure. $5.71 from SJ. I like them and we've been waiting for them since the beginning of 2009 (wave 14, 15, and 16). Are they perfect? No, but I think they're certainly above average. Do I wish there weren't some duplicates (SE/CC)? Sure, but they have to make the sets have some mass appeal so-to-speak and a sort of "catchall" for those who may not have grabbed the figures before. Finally, it really boggles my mind how anyone can say the Walmart Roadblock is better than the Resolute one. The Walmart one is a cheap knockoff of the Resolute one IMHO. |
