yeah, I agree on the "hassle free" factor. I got most of my collection from BBTS so far, since I don't have time to compete with people that wait for stores to open everyday and buy the good stuff. That and a lot of the stores here have had ROC wave one filling the shelves since the movie came out (reminds me of back in 25th fig times when there was nothing but wave 4 while other metro areas were up to their eyes in wave 10 or whatever.)

Yeah, the prices are higher per figure but burning up gas looking for ghosts really balances things out. Besides, in most cases, should I find what I'm looking for at large, I can just cancel a BBTS order with no hassle.

yeah, more than burning gas (I love driving) it's the waste of time ending up empty handed that gets me.

Wasting time and gas adds up quickly man along with miles on your vehicle (wear and tear as well). I love finding stuff at retail, but rarely have I ever found everything I was looking for at the moment in 1 shot. $7 per figure (including shipping) is a good deal for me vs. $5.99 (supposedly) plus tax/gas/time/adding more miles.
Who knows how well stocked PoC is going to be, too. Many stores around here have already or are still downsizing the RoC sections. If PoC ends up being stocked like the 25th/Modern stuff was, then online is going to be the most hassle free option for me. I'll buy any extras at retail if I find them. And for now I've decided I'm only buying figures. If things change, then I might get some vehicles. But storage space and money dictate figures only for me. |

If you do give in to the vehicles... cause that HiSS is awesome and so is the Snowcat, Brianstoys.com has the bravos for $19.99. Best deal I've seen for them so far.

Exactly. I love finding stuff at retail too, but I have wasted so much time and money searching for figures in the past. For example, I probably wasted more money in gas searching for War Machine from IM2, that it would have been better to buy online or pay for the one hanging in the window of my LCS. Gas is expensive. So is my time. After the ridiculous amount of time I spent trying to find WM (still don't have him), it has convinced me to not bother anymore. Online for me all the way. If I find something at retail, that's great, but I'm not going out of my way anymore.

I tend to have these minor moments of luck when I go to buy groceries or whatever we happen to need at Meijer, Target, etc... I've given up making a trip only to check for Joes, it's just a waste of time and energy. So my "find it at retail" hopes hinge on running out of eggs or needing new socks so I can justify the trip to the shops.

Anyway, I'm liking a lot of what I see from PoC. I'm just ticked that I'm lacking in the funds department... makes no difference if I preorder or go hunting, purchase will not be imminent lol. Except for Low Light... freakin must-have. |
