Well, I doubt I ever pick up the Blades figure and the others. Though I am pretty pleased with the other three guys. Especially Topson for some reason. With the red hair on him, he doesn't even look like Rock'n Roll.
Though Redmack's got a bad case of the Jangle Legs. Still, I can't justify buying the others. It was a leap with the ones I have. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 08-29-2009 at 07:44 AM.. |

So about a month or so ago, I used the cash back option at a Wal-mart. I selected the "$20" and asked the cashier if I could get the twenty in two tens. She hesitates and finally says, "yeah" and when she hands me my change. I got a twenty and two tens. I immediately stop her and hand back the twenty doing my best to explain why she's getting money back. I leave without further incident.
A few weeks later, I'm at an ATM drivethru and there's a card sticking out of it. I take the card out, finish my transaction, and pull into the bank's parking lot to hand over the left behind card. As I'm walking to the door, a woman pulls through the drivethru, looks and then circles back around to the lot. I flag her down and ask for her name. The card in my hand wasn't hers. So now two people have lost their cards. Well, I head in with the card i have and turn it over to a somewhat confused teller. Today, I returned a Pit that I purchased before Wal-Mart.com offered the $30 e-card with purchase. [I purchased a second one to take advantage of the promotion] I take in my Site-to-store receipt and head to Customer Service. As the woman's dealing with my return she asks if I want to place the total back on my credit card or just take the cash. I opt for the credit card refund and she explains that I'll be refunded the full $135 dollars that the store charges for the Pit. I stop her, show her my printout invoice and correct her mistake and get my refund of $105.89 placed back on my credit card. Still with me? This is going somewhere good... On the way back home, I stop off at the post office to pick up my mystery package from Fun Publications. In it, I find a second Crimson Strike set that I haven't purchased and show no records of being charged for. So, I guess on Monday, I'm gonna be calling about that now too. So yeah, I don't know why, but I beginning to feel like I'm being tested by the powers that be... And its really getting hard to turn these things down. I mean, right now, I have 24 Crimson Vipers in my possession. Twenty four of the bastards. And I can't even play with half of them until I find out where they came from. I dunno if I could resist putting those suckers on ebay. I could, I know, I'd call the club... But damn if I wouldn't think about it.

I like some of them. I was looking forward to the trooper and Zartan. They are like modern bobble heads to me...minus the bobbling head. They're not for everyone, but whatever.

So do I pay you for shipping on that extra crimson viper set? COD? ;)
I think if you don't end up with something like a bag of gold dabloons in the next few months, your karma is seriously one way. You're giving back at a much higher rate than you're getting. Ah... but it all comes around eventually, sometimes it's better to stack up points in your favor before you need them. Related story: I was travelling in Japan, and was pretty far from my apartment. We decided that we really needed to get back home quick but were short on money for the bullet train. The bullet train would be about 3 hours to get home, the regular trains would take a good 10 hours. We had been planning on making a few stops and stay overnight a few places on the way home but due to illness and bad weather we decided to skip them. So on the way to the station, still unsure what to do, I found (in converted terms) $100 bill lying on the groud. That was the extra bit we needed to get the bullet train tickets. We went home and everything worked out. Three months later I lost my monthly train pass (to and from work prepaid monthly at discount rate). How much was left on the train pass? $100. This is perfect karma. The world gave me $100 for a train ride when I really needed it, then took it away from the same train-related-purpose when I could afford it and was in no emergency. Several years later, Hicks sent me a free crimson viper set. It all works out so nicely.

Oh and Eddie, words can't describe how I feel about your situation with the Mighty Muggs. I mean, can't you at least buy the Wal-Mart Exclusives with Monkey Wrench and all those guys or the set coming up with the Alley-viper repaint? Those have to be better than Might Muggs.

I think the concept of karma is a byproduct of human vanity and therefore a load of crap, but ain't nothing wrong with a little honesty.
I'd give it back too, but if she's stupid enough to hand it over, she's going to lose that job anyway... and sooner rather than later. |

On second thought...I seem to recall from posts on Consumerist, that if an entity sends you something through the mail that you didn't order, it is, if you wish to keep it, yours...as a gift. I could be misinterpreting but I think that is the conclusion that was reached...it was something to do with a woman ordering a bunch of expensive shoes and getting twice as many as she ordered...when the company tried to bill her for them she quickly found out that they were hers to keep, something to do with postal law. Feel free to research and make of this what you will. I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV.
