Yeah, Outback's going to need a little help. His head sits a little too high, to me, and he doesn't hold his gun with two hands very well. I also had to perform a little surgery on the Stratoviper head.

Yeah, I'm kinda nervous to cut into the Strato-viper's jaw for some reason... He just looks so good overall. But I did dremel out the socket for Outback's neckpost. His head's a good five millimeters further down now. His hand's still suck, but I'll probably find a Flint or something to replace them with.
I do like that they fixed the Stinger Driver's webbing to include the holster missing from the Bazooka Trooper. |

Somebody on this thread must know Joel over at BBTS. If you do ask him "how much bribe money it's going to take to get these f'ing sets up for pre-order already". I know he has to wait for Hasbro approval but WTF. Has it really been since Feb. my god it feels longer..........

It feels like just yesterday when they sent that email out with the tease line "highly anticipated pre-orders coming in the very near future." Those were truly halcyon days of golden milk and honey. Now back in the world it's cold and dark, a harsh wind blowing, fire and brimstone falling from the sky, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!

Outback and his filecard have been removed. (This happened before the disappointment set in BTW, otherwise I woulda left it MIB and made due with the [ontopic]7-pack version.[/ontopic]) What's is worth in that condition? Depends on what someone wants from it I guess.
Should we take a thread poll? |

That all said, it'll be funny to find Hasbro is having to reproduce all their Alley-vipers that keep walking out of the plant. |

Well I was originally thinking the set minus Outback since I had already ganked him and cut up the box, but if you want the whole deal I can do that. $20? That's about what I paid for it from BBTS after shipping.

The longer Hasbro holds out on us, the more money they lose, I figure. Clearly, Hasbro needs to release some army builders for Alley-Vipers, etc. as well. But for now, I will settle for the original 7 packs please.

Yeah, I buy the occasional "early release" figure just to see what I'm getting into... But this onslaught of eBay sales has got to be at an all time high. I don't understand it. Buying one or two figures at $14.99 is one thing, but to buy a whole wave of figures that are going to released in massive amounts? Ridiculous.
Worse are the people that complain about figure scalping through retailers and then pay these amount for figures that aren’t even complete or packaged. And you know those guys in China didn’t pay for them at all… This is just another reason why I tend to hate people in general. It'd be like me selling you a car for twice what you'd pay at the dealership and then not putting the steering wheel and tires on it. But the shippings free and you'll be the first in your town to drive it. Well, I guess you'll be the first to have it in your driveway, driving may not be an option. But you're welcome to take pictures and show them to the internet. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 07-03-2009 at 03:24 PM.. |
