I think there will be enough of these. They realize the demand and interest...as long as people don't procrastinate, they should be fine.

yeah I hope so!
I was all over that Mer-Man ordering and still got screwed lol hopefully Hasbro does realize that these are gonna be big ticket items on most of our lists since the 25th/modern line is going on hiatus til the movie is done

I don't collect those new MotU figures, but I thought those were more of a limited release type thing, no? The 7-packs won't be that limited.

The MOTUC was limited in the begining but after the huge success of the line they are going to re-release the figures again in a different deco or packaging.

Sounds familiar, this MOTU Line... It's funny though, 35 bucks for seven 4 inch figures is too much. 20 bucks for a 7 inch figure, yeah okay, what I missed them?
Personally, I don't know why everyone feels they're gonna miss out on these sets. Hasbro is gonna crank out so many of these things that we'll be laughing/kicking ourselves when stores start selling them at 40% off by this time next year. |

I'm thinking Hicks is right. There will be the initial pre-order, which will likely sell out.
There will be multiple threads for those who missed that initial order to gripe and complain they missed them. Then, just like the extreme conditions sets, in 6 months or so, they will be reduced and sellers will be unable to unload them. |

I don't think we'll see quite the same situation as we did with the extreme packs. The 7-packs are straight nostalgia, all the way. No new characters, no new costumes... just 14 brand new, classic figures, in classic costumes, not to mention 6 highly sought-after army builders, as well as some of the best figures to date.
I'm guessing they will perform far better than the extreme conditions sets. EDIT: Sorry, that was fairly on topic. My apologies. Anyone care to chat about the game "Chutes and Ladders?"

I think we would see the same situation with the joe pack as there's really no reason to get more than a few sets. But the cobra packs contain troop builders. Range vipers, strato vipers, lampreys, damaged B.A.T.s, and alley vipers. They'll probably be selling out for awhile. As they contain some desirable troops not really present in the special condition sets. Last edited by yourfacehere; 04-18-2009 at 08:14 PM.. |
