If we do midnight own time zone (as it was), east coast players have an advantage since it is possible that they get to post twice before a west coast player even posts once. When counting hit points for rank advancement, EC players can essentially have 1 more turn/post per battle than WC players if the game ended around the 9pm-12am PST time. Plus, EC gets to post first in the morning when WC are still sleeping. If the WC didn't stay up at midnight to make their post, EC can end the game before WC wake up.
It would be interesting to find out what time each of the battles ended before we switched to EST... If we use midnight EST, west coast players have a HUGE advantage since they get to post for the next day while it's still 9pm their time. If we use midnight PST, east coast players are probably sleeping already but west coast players can stay up late to post. They have to stay up late to beat the EC before they wake up. (I vote for this so one coast cannot have 2 turns before the other even gets its first). ** EDIT ** Some WC players can stay up late to post at midnight PST but it gets offset by the EC players getting to post in the morning before the rest of the WC players. There really is no fair way of doing this as it will lean towards one side and away from the other unless we want to restrict the game play to a specific time period. Do we really want to do that? I'm not sure it really matters what time the reset is as there will always be pros and cons for each individual player, but the one thing I do feel is important is that we do NOT go back to playing on your own time zone.

I'm against it, fred. The original way was "12am your own personal time zone". I'm 100% against that for the reasons annihilator listed above and others including myself have listed elsewhere.

ok,thats cool, but really,is there a fair way to do this?i say we just all agree on something in the middle and get on with having a good time,no one will ever be 100%happy,but we can surely meet somewhere in the middle and agree..
