I just received the Retaliation series 3 Alley Viper from viperskingdom. This was a figure that I was very excited about and I decided to go ahead and spring for it. It's a cool fig, I really like the colors. It's mostly the same parts as the 25th Alley Viper, with the obvious exception of the torso, which comes from the Retaliation Duke figure.
THIS FIGURE HAS THE EXACT SAME ARTICULATION AS THE POC ALLEY VIPER- THERE IS NO ARTICULATION MISSING. The figure comes with some nice weapons as well- naturally he has the 25th Alley Viper submachine gun, which in my opinion is based on the HK UMP 45, and the riot shield. The Retaliation Alley Viper also includes one knife, which goes in the sheathe on his wrist. Finally, the figure comes with the suppressed M4 that POC Duke had, as well as that figure's vest and machete; it's a decent vest for the figure, but I think there are some better ones that Hasbro could've used. I think the vest from Retaliation series 1 Snake Eyes looks pretty good on the Alley Viper. After taking these photos I removed the machete sheathe from the vest- it doesn't strike me as necessary for an urban combat soldier, and it tends to get in the way. It's a very cool figure and I really like it. I'm sure I'll buy a couple more once series 3 hits stores. Last edited by Qwerty123; 12-09-2012 at 08:59 PM.. |

Thanks, I agree. It fits the figure much more tightly, and looks more uniform, which I think is important when it comes to Cobra soldiers.

Ditto on the second webgear choice.
Since he has bodyarmor on underneath it is a much better look! Looks like I'll be hunting for about 4 of these guys. . . Also did you trim the M-4, or was it like that on the card??? It looks pretty sweet that way. . . |

Nothing beats orange-colored, terrorist special force...but hey, red is a color of intimidation and domination...I'll get 3 of 'em.

Hasbro couldn't even leave in the mid torso joint? Didn't they say they had "heard" the fans about the reduced articulation? Sigh. Still a nice looking figure, but not an army building must have like the PoC version.

Yeah I have a couple of those M4s, so I trimmed the suppressor off of one of them. |

Oh well, my bad then. I still can't see it, but since it's yours I'll take your word for it, lol.
