Here is another tidbit.. on this project. If you are wondering the quality of the paint and the quality of the chopper...I myself am on the crew in the paint shop. I build and paint models for a living.. also have my fair share of competition awards.. i trust this project and what I plan to do when I start paint work on the crew, will be professionally done. I take deep pride in my work, and my reputation. In addition to my character.
We are all about the fans And the toys. If you dream it.. it can be made scale reality. |

ahhh just saw the update on Kickstarter that he shut it all down. Crazy how hard Retro Blasting defended him.

Retroblasting will be making a comment on this situation at some point according to their social media manager. They have already responded to a few comments on the videos with comments like "Be glad you miss this one." I get they don't want to be an "investigative outlet," but there were many who backed this Kickstarter based on their video so you really can't have it both ways. |

I called him out in the comments and he got all mad, and then his buddy Tim Ward tried to pile on. Timmy isn't the sharpest tool in the shed for sure.

Nope, with Kickstarter projects you don't get the money back on a failed kickstarter. Kickstarter is under the same rules as investments. When you back a kickstarter or most crowdfunded projects you are considered an investor and not a customer. Backing a kickstarter is the same thing as a a producer giving money to a play and hoping for a return on the investment, if the play fails the producers are shit out of luck, if it succeeds then the producer gets a return on the investment.
Once the kickstarter funds the money is no longer legally yours and has passed on to the project. So long as the kickstarter spends the kickstarter money on costs for the project and makes a genuine effort to complete the project the investors are entitled to nothing if the project fails. Unless the investors can prove embezzlement or another crime was committed with the funds there's no legal recourse to getting your money back on the failed investment. In most cases even if there is legal cause, the money is long gone, so good luck getting money from an entity with none. Taking them to court is an option but its extremely expensive, thousands upon thousands of dollars. Even a class action suit that you win will net you only a small fraction of what you spent on the project at most as the law firm suing on your behalf will get most of whatever money is won in legal costs. In most cases theirs not even an entity left to sue, a failed project can dissolve the LLC and file bankrupcy at which point the creditors get anything of value left and the investors and stockholders won't get anything at all. What happened to the good old days of ripping of fans via fly-by-night custom parts casting "stores"?
