I was reading an article talking about Skybound's 'Cobra Commander', and at the bottom it listed G.I. Joe media including a Chuckles movie. Sorry, I am not paying as much attention to the Joe stuff as I once did, but is this movie getting any traction? I don't know why they'd do one on Chuckles, when there are so many other characters Joe fans would rather see.
I'm all for more Joe content if it's good, but just thought it was an unusually character to do, unless they were doing a Bond theme and thought they could get a bunch of Spy fans to watch. Spin-offs (Movies)G.I. Joe Chuckles Spinoff |

Like every Hasbro produced film to date, I bet this chunks hard and makes almost no fans actually happy.
It's on them to prove me wrong - one of the worst track records for any major studio. Expectations are in the toilet on this one. Would love to be wrong, but the odds are low. |

Then there's what is used to define a failure. Just because something is panned by the fans doesn't mean it wasn't a success. By Hollywood's standards, a film need make double it's budget to be considered a success. Rise of Cobra came close. Retaliation was a success by Hollywood Standards. Snake Eyes obviously bombed not even doing half it's budget. Every single Transformers film has been a resounding success, with Rise of the Beasts being the low-end outlier.
Sorry, Toa, Honor among Thieves failed at the box office (deservedly so, though it did night and day better than the 2000 film which didn't even earn back its budget).

Which is suspect in its own right. The TF films don't do those kinds of numbers without repeated viewings. lol

It was interesting seeing the numbers ($) and ratings all of the Hasbro properties have done at the box office. Man did some of them bomb with the money and some received the worst film scores I think I have seen.

You could be right. I am not anywhere close to an expert on the TF films. Most of my "research" was from the TFW2005 boards about the movies. They are a tough crowd over on our sister site.

I'm not that big of a TF fan, so they didn't bother me all that much and are fun for what they are. Really wish they'd made that military team in the first few GI Joe thought, would've been better than what we ended up getting with the Duke/Baroness/Mindbender love triangle.
