I got my shipment in and the paint and feel of the figures is great! The weapons are all proportionate and fit well in the figures hands. The only issue I have is some of their left legs do not raise as high as the right leg making in impossible for them to fit in a vehicle. Shepard and the samurai leader are the worst of my 6. Anybody else experiencing this?

I haven?t had any issues with the legs on my figures. They did put something up on their Facebook page about if you are having issues with the leg articulation you may need to open the figure up and turn the T hook around.
https://www.facebook.com/Delta17Toys/ In the video on their social media, they say that if turning the t-hook isn't enough, they recommend replacing it with one from a vintage Joe figure. I'm not sure I feel the need to go that far. They also say they will try to address this in future waves. |

My package arrived yesterday. I ordered six figures: Preacher, Leonidas, Delta Squad B, Death Sparrow, Shadow Dragon, and Okami.
Overall, these are very solidly built figures. In hand, they feel like vintage Joes, not at all like Black Major "factory customs." Design and sculpting is pretty good for the most part, though I'm still not especially keen on Death Sparrow. I think her face sculpt is weak and reminds me of a Final Faction figure (aside from the better articulation). Mine also has a small split where the two halves of one of her legs don't fit together seamlessly. Leonidas has a similar split in one of his arms. He also has a sloppy paint mask where the bottom edge of his shorts are flesh-colored. (I noted seeing this in the HCC788 video review posted a couple months ago, and it's true in the production copy as well.) Leonidas's sleeve tattoos are very intricate. That's an ambitious and well-done detail. It also very much marks this as an adult collectible. I'd expect that if he were ever played with by a child, those tattoos would rub right off in no time. I still think his "Hang Loose" t-shirt is kind of dumb. Did he buy a shirt with a slogan specifically positioned so that it would still be readable with an ammo pouch worn over it? What does that shirt look like without the ammo pouch there? His puppy companion is cute, but I don't love the idea that the dog can only ever sit on his backpack. I think I'd have preferred one with legs so you could pose it next to him. All figures come with a nice load-out of accessories, and I appreciate that every one of them can hold hold or stow all their gear without extra kibble lying around. My favorite figures from this batch are definitely the ninjas, Shadow Dragon and Okami. Both are well designed, come with cool gear, and hit that sweet spot '80s military/sci-fi/fantasy adventure blend. And kudos to the designers for making the cyborg Okami's arms compatible with vintage Cobra B.A.T. attachments! Of the more "grounded" characters, Preacher is also a very well done Stalker-type character. TLDR version: I may have a few nit-picks, but these are good figures and I'm glad I bought them. I plan to get the other six soon. |

My Leonidas and Rooster figures came today. Overall, very impressed with these. The plastic quality feels great, they fit very well with vintage Joes, and the wrist articulation really improves the otherwise perfect design of classic Joes. Everyone involved in this project did an amazing job. My Leonidas figure has the t hook issue, which improved when I flipped it. It looks like there are little burs in the metal where the joint raises, I’ll probably just eventually swap them with vintage Joe ones, but a really minor issue. I’ll definitely be buying more as funds allow. With all of these o ring lines popping up, Black Major still doing quality work, and Super 7 getting ready to restart o-ring joes, this is really an amazing time. One I never thought I’d see. And Hasbro doing those Ghostbusters as well.

Been watching all the livestreams they have been doing. Thunder Battalion has been the best seller so far - which I get because its at the top of my army builder list. Delta Squad A&B combined was the close second. I am glad they are covering the ninja cyborg as I only recently learned the swords and gun replace the hands like the Cobra BAT. Apparently those attachments are compatible too - unfortunately I don't have a BAT or BAT Accessories. Also the first few waves are geared to play well with the inevitable hind helicopter.

The figures are great. Rooster and Death Sparrow are probably my favorites so far.
