I’ve been a GI JOE fan since 1982. Scraping together my $2/week allowance back then, it mostly went to comic books, and likewise, Marvel Comics GI JOE: ARAH, first and foremost. Issue #1 had Rock 'n Roll on the RAM motorcycle in that first adventure, and it pretty much cemented the idea with me that Rock ‘n Roll and the RAM motorcycle were a match.
Fast forward to seeing the RAM for sale at my local toy store (TOYVILLE in Downey, California), and I was confused to see BREAKER on the box riding this awesome motorcycle. Huh? I liked Breaker, but I get that what MARVEL COMICS did in their comics didn’t always line up with what the overlords at HASBRO had in mind for positioning their motorcycle accessory toy. Still, I will always think Rock ‘n Roll when it comes to the RAM (which by the way, was my gateway bike to becoming a motorcycle rider as an adult). What I did: - I stripped and re-painted the Breaker figure hair to blonde and added wash to the face to age him up a little - The M60, ammo belts & bag, rifle & holster, and helmet are from Grid Iron Studios: https://tinyurl.com/2p84te4u - Dissembled the body to remove the tactical vest so the ammo belts sat properly and also to help the figure hold the M60 better Last edited by Julius Downey; 05-23-2022 at 03:08 AM..
