Ingenious use of the transparent BFS bucks! I love them all. Awesome stuff. And masterful use of the BFS “Thor” helmet. I’ve been staring at my helmet for weeks wondering what the hell to do with it. Kudos!

Thanks! Really like how they came out and super fun to mess around with & pose! Quote:
These are pretty cool concept pieces. As much as I loved ninja Force, the shadow ninja subset wasn’t my thing.
This set is both cool as homages, but they could also stand alone as just being cool looking customs on their own. Also a great use of those translucent blanks, which look cool, but I’ve never found much use for them. Awesome job! Thanks! Storm Shadow is definitely who kickstarted the idea because I originally just grabbed the clear blank to use for photos & because it looked cool. Had no idea it would lead to this group but glad it did! Love how they turned out though, now I just need some new translucent blank colors! Haha, was gonna run through your threads after I finished these because I figured if anyone else did Shadow Ninjas, it probably would have been you. I know I’ve seen some Shadow Ninja Snake Eyes made from the light gray MTF trooper on here but couldn’t remember seeing any of the others. Quote:
Haha, same! Got a bunch of accessory packs when doing my Medieval style Cobras so I’ve been staring at all of these helmets trying to find uses for them all. One down, about twenty to go! Thanks! Such a fun group, definitely more appreciation for them now that I have some modern representations of them.

Thanks! Love how unique they are compared to all of the Hasbro & Club ninjas on my shelves. Plus just a super fun project since they have build style I haven’t tried for anyone else yet.

This one is originally from the Slice Custom contest but I hadn’t moved him into my thread yet because I was waiting to finish his comic origin story. Super proud of it though because it was by far the furthest I ever ventured off of the established Joe storyline so it was a lot of fun.
“Here is my entry for the custom contest. It’s a figure that I had planned on making but most likely was going to stick fairly closely to just a remake of the 1986 figure with a new color scheme. Since most of my figures are usually following someone else’s designs, I used this contest as an opportunity to really try something I have never done or seen before. I loved the idea of making a more grizzled version of the character who could no longer really control his skin color changing ability while also getting a good version of him that would tie in with my Zarana custom & other 90’s Dreadnoks. To get here I used the fact that he was MIA in the 90’s to really give him a late era Joe look & gimmick. So Boss Fight build with Hasbro & Marauder accessories. Full body paint job, half flesh tone mix, half green wash, a blue wash on the pants, hit up all of the smaller metal details, added some cloth to give him more of a biker look and then topped it off with painted accessories. 90’s Zandar Here he is in his pre-paint build: Then I created a comic that explains how this happened to Zandar and I also expanded the idea to include the first mission Zandar takes on in the 90’s. https://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-j...ml#post5347859 So if you check out that thread you can read: And:

This is one I had in mind as soon as I saw the new Contractor colors. I always loved Salvo growing up because of the Get Tough cartoon and because of how awesome the original figure was so doing a version of him was a no brainer. Since we already had a Club version (mixed results) of the V1, I decided to tackle the second version of the character. This is one I never knew existed until doing deep dives on YoJoe.
Straightforward build using the new Marauder contractor parts. Ended up doing a full paint job on the shirt since I messed up the writing on my first attempt when I experimented with a paint pen. Then he just has some painted knee pads and the vintage helmet hit with some black paint & the chrome marker. Need to get the matching skin tone color head for him but since he’ll be wearing the helmet on display, didn’t worry about painting it to match. Salvo v2 Then Salvo loading up on the Mudbuster and taking down Ninja Force Zartan.

Nicely done.👍🏽
He’s also on my to do list, once certain items restock. I have a different build in mind for Salvo v2.

Great job!! I agree that the new MTF contract ops colors lend themselves to the execution of some great designs...the same goes with the rest of the color variants of course. Red t-shirt on grey pants looks awesome!
