Cool. Was he really that rare though? I think it was just the walkie talkie was rare in that most kids lost it.
However, it looks really nice. Really wish I can go back in time...haha.

Extremely extremely rare now. You’re not finding a well kept and in good condition Firefly . Let alone graded high anywhere.

There are a bunch of caveats with what you've said. Personally, though, I still don't put much stock in grading, especially as these old items continue to age and I still don't know of any standardized criteria in grading sealed action figures and vehicles.
I don't believe Firefly is AS RARE as you make it out to be, in relation to the brand as a whole. Is he more popular than some of his series mates (thus higher prices)? Sure. Is it difficult to find seal specimens of 35 year old toys (given toy speculation wouldn't fire up for another decade)? Absolutely. But the rarest Joe to find carded? Not at all. Remember, the 84-88ish figure lines were produced in ungodly numbers. These were among the most popular toys of the era and the basic figures were produced well into the millions, given the longevity of their retail lives. Mike T (of Forgotten Figures fame) could probably elaborate more, but I'm sure there are foreign variants that are far more rare. Or, just domestically, the series 1 straight arm figures are dramatically more rare given how short they were on shelves before being revised in 1983. All that out of the way, that's still a damn fine sample of a carded Firefly.

I feel like an idiot for not noticing that he was holding that gun by the clip until the 25th figure came out. Awesome figure and amazing card art. But personally I'm holding off on any more o ring purchases until I see what the Wal Mart stuff will be.

Making him a needle ina haystack. Firefly wasn’t made straight arm. And thank you .

Firefly came out in 1984. The Triple Win is extremely hard to find. The regular 32 back, not so much.

That is super sweet. Back in the day, I only had 82-84 Joes.
Firefly was (and still is) my favorite Cobra and Airborne was my favorite Joe, although all of those years are my favorite for nostalgic reasons. I will never forget seeing the 84 insert catalog for the first time and about falling over from the epic greatness of that year's new offerings. Congrats on scoring that one, it looks fantastic!

80s float around occasionally. And to say a regular Firefly in NM condition is not extremely hard to find is crazy.
