The Dreadnoks were favourites of mine as a child but couldn't decide how to make them. It is a fair criticism to say there is not much Marauder product in this custom given the title of the thread. It uses a cast head, Zombie Lab torso (mixed with BFS blank parts) and legs from the Dime Novel Legends. But there are a few Marauder accessories, and I made a new gun for him using Marauder parts.
The bare midriff must be a bit smaller than the shirt bottom that originally came with the ZL torso. I wish I had checked that before I started cutting bits off the bottom of the upper shirt to give it a torn look. The belt hides the fact I had to push the midriff up a bit to avoid a gap in his chest. Quote:
I really thought that Buzzer would be the first Dreadnok that I finished as I had the idea and most of the parts for ages. After waiting and waiting for the head I initially had planned it finally arrived and did not work as expected, so I improvised this head (which I now like) and that gave me the inspiration to do all the little tweaks needed to finish the figure off.

Bruh, it came out great! I’m not sure how you did the leg things but I like the way you did it. Mine was sculpted on but looking back at it, why was the vintage figure painted black and not metallic. Can’t wait to see your other dnoks!

The leg armour (as well as the dog tags and badge) are done using the foil that comes around the cork on a wine bottle. They tend to be metallic one side (either gold or silver) and printed on the outside, which if you drink enough can give you quite a range of colours. They are rigid enough to hold a shape but can be cut easily using a craft knife (or a hole punch if you want a perfect circle), pliable enough to bend to fit around legs etc just using your fingers, and you can use a pin to pierce holes or "draw" designs on. With the international shipping situation at the moment I am running out of parts. I was looking over what I had yesterday, I might be able to do a Monkeywrench but I think the rest of the Noks are a non starter for the moment, I don't think I even have the parts to finish off my Road Pig or Zarana (although if I turn her into Heartwrencher I possibly can as I would have more scope as to what she could look like). |

Wet Suit v1 is the only version I knew as a kid, we didn't even get the Mission Brazil one over here, but I have been struggling to make him. So until inspiration hits I decided to make a version of the Convention Wet Suit in his land gear to fill the hole on my shelf.

Breaker was one of the first figures I did, but after I had made more characters he no longer looked any good to me so I knew I would have to change him. I have finally got around to making those changes. The mic (which is from a Super Sonic Psyche-Out) fits at the right height on the helmet (although has to be glued in place) which meant he could go wireless rather than using the vintage headset.

As always, it's a lot of fun seeing your customs, and keep them coming! -Todd

Really fun color scheme for the Cobra Commander and I’m loving those dreadnok! Great job, once again!

I also ran out of the bullets so borrowed those from my Action Force Ton Up. I just wanted to see if he could be made with those parts and what he would look like before buying new parts (I think he also needs a harness rather than just the belt).
I was thinking about doing a v4 using the tan jacket, I am still deciding if I should use the Marine Camo legs (which would look very similar to the original) or try something with the British legs (which would be less accurate but in my mind might look pretty good)
