Episode 63,"SKELTONS IN THE CLOSET"
Lady Jaye receives a strange message from England informing her she is the heir to an ancient manor. When she arrives, she finds herself thrust into a sinister mystery involving a strange hooded cult, secret passages and the truth behind Destro's silver mask. It's a winner.

Hasbro and Mattel like to say that kids don't care about articulation. And maybe younger kids don't, at least in the absence of knowing any better. But as an 9-11-year-old, I was definitely hyper-aware of the differences and the improved articulation. Last edited by jabalong; 05-25-2020 at 12:28 AM.. |

Yeah, it's all relative to what we know. Those first non-swivel-arm Joes were so great, relative to Star Wars. But once swivel-arm came out, there was always a feeling of disappointment when mixing those first ones in with their more limited poseability.

I remember as a kid I much preferred the US figures to the limited articulation of the UK ones in Action Force. I maybe branded a heretic for it, but there we go.

On a positive note, we did get a pretty decent Red Shadows Trooper in a convention boxed set (2010?). It wasn't perfect mind you, but not half bad either. |

I'll turn this whole thread upside down.
As a kid, I only liked Ninja Force, Shadow Ninjas and Street Fighter II. I never liked much of the other lines I was alive for. I think I have maybe 1 Star Brigade figure and the repaint of the Pogo and that's it from other lines. |

The MK figures were pretty rad though. |

I was born in '88. I only ever got into GI Joe because my mum bought me the 12 inch Destro when I was 5 because her younger brother played with the original 12 inch GI Joe back when he was a boy and she figured I'd like GI Joe too. Not sure why she picked Destro, probably because the chrome mask was cool. Which it is.

As the Jaku man said, the MK Joes were dope tho |

I didn't like it when they switched the palettes to all kinds of wacky neon colors.
