From Abe McIntosh on FB: "I asked about adding some Tank top torsos to the mix...and they replied back that it would be in the upcoming Vietnam series for male & female as well as some bare chest ones too" "yes and a planned Asian female body and head in the next Val release in Spring 2020" I've read Rueben's post sometime back about barechested torsos in the Vietnam KS. First I've read about tanktop torsos, but this would be the perfect opportunity to fit them in. The comment about "Asian female body and head in the next Val release" makes me wonder if this will be a Stretch Goal to the Vietnam KS (like how they added Rescue-Ops, etc. to the Contractor Ops/K9 KS). I really cannot see them just adding a totally new (sculpted) figure to the roster without funding from a KS. Agree with CADPAT though, any female figures in the Vietname KS need to be brand new sculpts to get away from the tall Valkyrie sculpts. I've customized several of my Val legs to make them shorter. I'm still hoping a surprise Royal Ops of Black with Gold of the classic sculpt, plus finally an order of Ambush-Ops non armored legs, will appear in the store with this upcoming resupply order.

I'm hoping the 'Asian female' body is basically a normally-proportioned female buck that becomes the norm instead of the too-tall buck currently in use.

So with shipping to backers soon, anyone have some spots left on their Mayhem (or all-in if you don't want it all)?
This will be my introduction to MTF (though I've followed for a bit) in anticipation of 'Nam next year, so I do have questions. I recall some talk about certain figs being a better overall value for customs/interchangeability. Does anyone know where the red & black german troops fall in that? I think the average is 10 accessories am I right? Also curious about the load out for the mono color gray and greens. I haven't seen anything about that yet. When they ship, are they put together or kit parts in baggies like the store? And will they be sold in the store exactly like what backers will receive, or do you usually get a more stripped down version in the deluxe, geared-up or whatever it's called? |

Got my kickstarter figs a couple days ago and love the German grenadier. I haven’t added the gear to his belt yet but plan on putting everything together when I get a day of peace and quiet...

My ersatz Howling Easy Company Commandos, apologies for the reversed array. Leading the way is the Imperial Japanese rifleman defector, still not quite trusted by the Thompson Gunner I plan to be-mustachio into DumDum Dugan. Then is the team's heavy BREN Gunner to take care of things DumDum points at. My wounded Russian Tanker is tended by the Corpsman that I still need to paint or headswap-and-paint to be black; and they're all rearguarded by the CodeTalker. I'm gonna need to rig up his corded phone to be removable before he'll be carrying the radio pack.
This will be for an MCU-oriented team, so no WW2 Nick Fury for me. Would Sgt Rock be over or under DumDum if their teams were merged? I'm not so attached to Rock so I'll probably just avoid him entirely. But I will be getting more 'archetype' guys for my unit, definitely. |
