I'm interested in collecting the TPB IDW has published containing the original Marvel comics but I have some concerns:
1) I've heard that some backup stories and pages have been omitted from the TPB but included in the hardcovers. Is this true? 2) I also heard that the first 5 are just reprints of the TPB Marvel released in 2002 which had pages out of order and missing pages. Were these issues fixed? I'd like as complete a story as possible but without having to buy all the original issues (too pricey). Thanks in advance for your help! |

I have the idw trade paperbacks. Issue 1 leaves out the hot potato story. I’m not aware of any other missing stories or pages. Course, they don’t have the letter pages (postbox the pit).

They recently released a Vol. 1 Omnibus which has #1-12. This might have the Hot Potato story since the HC did and this seems like a straight up reprint from HC to TPB.
https://www.amazon.com/G-I-JOE-Ameri...=books&sr=1-43 I don't know anyone that has it though. Vol 1 HC was a labor of love. They color correct doc on a panel and there's great insight. Then IDW just fell off the wagon with the Marvel collecting.... |

You can also invest in the hardbound "Complete Collection" series. They have the issues in order with the backup stories included.

1) Fixed it by including said issue in HC vol 9 2) Freakin’ came out with HC vol 9! It’s been nearly 3 1/2 years since I preordered it the FIRST time (12/25/15) I can’t recommend something that resides in incomplete limbo status.

I emailed IDW a few months back regarding these two items:
https://www.idwpublishing.com/produc...ts-edition-hc/ https://www.idwpublishing.com/produc...lection-vol-9/ and here is the response: Hello, Both of these titles have been cancelled and will not be published. Sorry for any inconvenience, IDW Store |
