Any time my local PO attempts a Sunday package delivery, it’s safe to expect some sort of half-assery. It’s never the regular carrier, just some schlep pissed off that they have to work on the weekend that decides to take it out on the mail. Like a “we tried to deliver but no one was home” tag (even though nobody left the house that day and there wasn’t so much as a knock, or a notification from Amazon saying the package was delivered but instead arrived with the regular driver during the week, or something that arrives beat to shit. And you’re right, complaining does absolutely nothing.
i literally had them say they tried to deliver something this week and left a notice, but there were five people and two that never heard them all day. This has happened multiple times, but for the lady that has delivered before it is kinda understandable. we used to keep a dog, she was a rescued bait dog in the fights, and scared the lady. She was barking, which she has a very deep and loud bark, and I look out the window to see a mail carrier in the driveway. My dog only comes up to sniff you and make sure your alright, but when she is on her way she charges barking up a storm, which most people think she is about to rip a leg off. Ask the fireman who to tell us there was a burn ban and couldnt get out of his truck to deliver the message. The mail lady jumps in the truck screaming and hollering as my dog comes flying down the gravel driveway and spins out in a cloud of dust out trying to turn around the truck to get to the lady. Needless to say, that is when we started receiving the notes that she couldn't deliver packages, but she also leaves them in the rain so what the heck they dont care about customer service.

Not Joe related, but I have a delivery that was scheduled for today that USPS has messed up on. It was shipped Saturday from south Georgia. It made it to Tallahassee distribution that night. Sunday morning it arrived in Memphis. Checked the tracking again later Sunday night and it arrived here in Jackson, MS, which is where I live. Thought to myself "cool it will be delivered tomorrow (Monday) not Tuesday like it is scheduled for". Woke up yesterday morning and they sent the package about 2 hours away to Hattiesburg, MS. So it now in the process of being sent back to Jackson, and hopefully delivered tomorrow.

Just got a shipping notice from the club today with a tracking number for my replacement Grid-Iron head. Soon Grid-Iron will stop giving me flirtatious winks.
