Hey Guys! As the new B2.Five Acid Rain line goes live in the official B2.Five Shop tomorrow, Wednesday, September 27th, I wanted to save the largest set for last! The B2.Five Acid Rain Agurts Military 88th Sand Delux Set is definitely the set you'll want to go after if you're looking for the full B2.Five Acid Rain Experience. The set includes:
Beaver has done an absolutely amazing job of capturing the essence of Kit's 1:18th scaled Acid Rain figures. From the "Four Eyes" Stronghold to the unique design on the hood of the speeder, this are amazingly faithful recreations of their larger counterparts. The pilots are fun, but as I've noted throughout all of my B2.Five reviews, the limbs do fall off at times due to their size. Really though, it's not bad in the least bit, just something to be aware of. As these particular vehicles and pilots have been reviewed before, I'd rather just cut to the chase - These are awesome. The size makes them a whole lot of fun and the price makes them easy on the wallet. I can't wait to see what's next in this line! I want a Chapel!! Thanks for your time, everyone!

just doesn't do it for me... the allure to the original 4'' line was the unique weathering apps. These, despite being out of the 4'' scale, are just too bright and shiny, and do not have that 'pop' factor for weathering.
I feel that this is a distraction to an otherwise cool, unique, and highly detailed 4'' line. Thinking of the time, effort, costs, and tooling that went into this smaller line is frustrating, given that it could have been invested in the more successful 4'' line. Just my thoughts.

I like these, but they are more expensive then I thought they'd be. I can't drop $35 on 3 mini figures. Collecting in general is getting to expensive. haha

If i'm not wrong as well, This B2.Five is a joint venture between Kit Lau and Beaver so the company funding this is not exactly the same as Kit Lau and his original Acid Rain.

If I was a kid I'd be all over this. They're very playable at this scale, and since they don't have "enemies", you can totally make them fight against anything. Even those rubber generic dinosaurs or sea creatures would do. Remind me of Starship Troopers.

Cute, but do I really want to start all over in a smaller scale?
