Hi guys. I got my first vintage moc. Perfect card, clear bubble but it has a broken oring. I'm not intrested to grade it afa, i want only display in my collection. So here is my question. There is a way to open the figure without breaking card or bubble for replace oring? Or you think i must leave it with broken oring as is?

This is a crappy situation. Because there is no real way to get the figure out without damaging the card or bubble. I would say your best bet would be to sell or trade this one off to replace him. I am not much of a MOC collector so I would personally cut the bubble off with an exacto knife and display the figure and the nice full card art loose.

It has happened to some of mine too. I do not think there is any way to safely remove the bubble. You can also use an exacto knife to carefully open the bubble enough to remove the figure, replace the O-Ring and put it back in. It's not prefect, but I think it does the least amount of damage to the bubble.

Exacto knife is probably the best way to go. This is the danger with those o rings because they will break eventually. The AFA crowd will likely end up with expensive carded jumbles of parts.

This is why I do not have any O-Ring Joes anymore. When I get them with a bunch of vehicles or I get them with some lot I usually sell them all quick. I do not want to take a bath on a bunch of figures that the O-Rings went snappo on

There is no reason to take a bath on them, O-rings are incredibly easy to replace. It is a good reason to stay away from MOC figures though.

You don't even need to go to an action figure supply resource to get compatible O-rings--I actually bought a couple packs from Home Depot a few years back, and they work fine. (SmallJoes has MUCH better deals if you need them in bulk, though.)

I finally decided not to open it. I don't think open a Roadblock v1 moc with broken o-ring is a good idea...also because i have two of them loose
Rather, what affect this flaw has for a possible AFA graduation? Is just a curiosity

I think your best bet is to leave it on in the package. You could always re-sell it and use that money to try to go after another that isn't broken. But since you were considering opening it to fix it, maybe you want to consider a reproduction cardback kit. I have several of them and I love them. They look great and are much cheaper than a real MOC. Sure, it's not original but if you want the look and aren't so worried about authenticity, this is the way to go.
