Does it look like the new SE and SS pack uses the ultimate bodies? If so does it seem you could use the extra pieces to make the ultimate versions? How much if any of an upgrade would you say the viper and IG figs are over the 25th versions?

Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Cobra Viper are using the same parts from their P.O.C/30th original releases. The Iron Grenadier has the same parts as its 25th counterpart. The only difference is the quality of plastics being used for these newer figures.

The SS is actually Renegades Stormshadow, which was the first Ninja to use the updated build. The Retaliation Ultimate SS has the same torso and legs, but different arms. Some like the Ret. Version better as the bare upper arms are closer to the 1st ARAH version. I like the Ren. SS better though.

I'm glad to see this version of Storm Shadow back at retail. He was kind of hard to find, the first time around. I only got one; now I'll be able to display a version with both headsculpts. While I don't need zombie vipers, bats, vipers or iron grenadiers, this new wave of figures will sure make army building easy.

Yeah, I'm worried these won't be up to the quality of their predecessors.

I can't wait for this new wave! Me and the kids' fingers are crossed that we get surprised and maybe see some in Canada (all signs have pointed to 'no' so far though). Anyways, they're too cool to pass up one way or another.

That is a valid concern.

Sorry to hijack your thread but do the females have a new torso?

Stiletto appears to be using Agent Helix's sculpt completely. I can't speak for Shooter. The Female Officer's appears to be new (which is probably why it's so bland--I'm guessing there wasn't much budget), but I don't know this for a fact.

The Cobra Officers do in fact have new torsos, but not sure about Shooter, although her torso looks the same as the Officer's. Need better side by side images to be fully sure.
