Yes I know another GIJOE 3 thread oh no. Haven't we talked about that enough?
Well yes, yes we have, but we have not put together a thread where we can see by the numbers what we want, what is important to us, or what would drive us to the theaters in droves for repeat viewings. I have gathered some of what I feel are the more important questions to be answered here in this poll as to exactly what we want in a movie. Things that are started in preproduction.

A complete and total reboot, replacing the entire plot, and all the actors except Ray Park and the guy who plays Storm Shadow. Hire Hama as the plot consultant, and then script writers to convert his story into the actual movie.

Since you'll never be able to please everyone, at the very least just tell a good story.

I wish they would start over and build a great story that heaven forbid you could maybe build a movie around certain characters.

Good script/plot with vehicles and costumes that resemble the toy-line.

Heh, I'm not going to say what I want--most people already know what I want. ;) I wouldn't want Hama involved, because then we'd never see it.
But a good, story-oriented reboot would be just fine. |

Exactly. It must be extremely difficult to do this based off what we've seen so far...

Something to keep me entertained for an hour and a half and some halfway decent figures in the tie-in toy line.
I liked ROC, I liked Retaliation. Both were good Hollywood versions of the Joes. It's never going to be perfect. Turn off your brain and enjoy yourself for a while. |

I voted for 3 things. Story oriented, sci-fi themed and cartoon based. I used to hate Cobra La in 87 but liked some parts of the movie back then. The begging was so cool. Now I like the hole movie and wouldn't mind them kind of going tords that style of live action film. Actually any of the mini series style would be great with the aception of the ones after 87 LOL

I'd like it to be one movie and not an attempt to cram a Joe team movie and a Snake Eyes movie into the same film. The SE side plots rarely affect the main plot of the film. Paramount would have been better off turn the SE side plots into it's own movie between ROC and Retaliation.
I don't need uniforms and toys that are ARAH accurate, but I would like movie toys that are accurate to the film designs. ROC did a decent job with the figures, but the Cobra Gunship and Night Raven were disappointments. Retaliation had some figures that were spot on, but Colton, Lady Jaye, Jinx, and Cobra Commander were lazily executed. Most of wave 1 & 2 were basically custom fodder. None of the vehicles really matched to movie versions. The closest match was the Ninja Commando 4x4.
