I said 25th Anniversary, and saying that, I really like 25th Anniversary, I just think the other ME lines are nicer. With 25th, you had the issues like the suicide wrists, and micro heads (diaper crotch doesn't bother me as much as those two issues) that detracted. No doubt part of that was getting the bugs worked out a new line of figures.
I don't have many of the Resolute line, they look good though. POC is freaking awesome as is most of Renegades/30th. I know ROC gets a bad rap, and there are some serious faults there, like the turtle vipers in multiple colors and the odd grayish camo for a lot of the joes, but some nice figures there too. Retaliation had some winners and losers, the biggest issue for me was distribution. I was finding them at 5 below at 4.99 months before they hit my local TRU at 10.99. 50th was all hits for me. Not all home runs, but every figure was at least a base hit. Least favorites were Baroness and Hot Pink Cobra Commander. But 50th was pretty generous to the USMC component of the joe team. |

50th is a good line, but they seem to be made of cheap plastic and the paint apps are sloppy

Resolute had some great figures like Resolute Duke(all three versions had their merits, with the single pack version being the best), the best version of Roadblock, a nice version of Alley Viper and Destro, a cool take on Zartan, another good version of Firefly...Scarlett was also good except for the head/face. I think the only Resolute figure I disliked was the blue CC because he appeared twice.
Rise of COBRA had another amazing version of Snake Eyes, Night Adder, Agent Helix, Kamakura, a good Range Viper repaint, a decent Heavy Duty(though he should have had a hat/helmet at least) and one of the best versions of Scarlett(the armored version of course). Red Fang Ninja, too many Neo Vipers, and too many versions of Duke and Ripcord were an annoyance. Pursuit of COBRA only had two terrible figures, the AA Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes figures. Recondo was so-so, only because of that horrible problem with his head looking down. You got a lot of great figures though, like the best version of Snake Eyes, the bad-ass Shock Troopers, Low-Light, Jungle Viper(that was the better update to Night Viper imo), two good versions of Duke, a better looking Alley Viper repaint, a bad-ass version of Destro and Firefly. 30th/Renegades had plenty of good figures like a new sculpt for Tunnel Rat, Techno Vipers, Zombie Vipers, one of the best versions of Storm Shadow, and an awesome Law & Order update. I can't really think of any figures that were terrible per se, bu the one figure that I felt was just bland was the Iron Grenadier, due to his lack of camouflage. Retaliation included some t-crotch drivers, a bland green armored Duke, the Ultimate Duke with his problematic arms, a not so good attempt at a camouflaged Storm Shadow, and too many missile launchers. However, we at least got an Ultimate Storm Shadow(the best version imo), the Ultimate COBRA Commander, a cool update of the Crimson Guards, the best version of Firefly, and a great update to the Night Vipers. 50th Anniversary included too many Blowtorches, inferior plastic quality, sometimes shoddy paint apps, and a pointless re-release of the Screaming Duke, CLAWS Trooper, and COBRA Commander in a 3-pack. The 2-pack COBRA Commander, on the other hand, was decent. We also got great updates of Leatherneck and Destro, a cheaper way to amass armies of COBRA Troopers, Shock Troopers, and Rock Vipers, another great version of Firefly, and a good update to Spirit. 25th Anniversary had some good figures like Xamot/Tomax, Baroness, Beach-Head(HOH and comic pack versions only), Vipers(HOH/25th 5-pack versions only), Buzzer, Comic Pack Firefly, a good version of Storm Shadow(the first version in the 5-pack only, the other repaints went downhill from there). However, lots of horrible figures with issues like the horrible arms saddled on Duke and Viper figures, diaper crotches, COBRA Trooper arms that limited firing poses, and a lot of the figures needed improvements. So that's why I voted 25th.

ROC hands down. I hated the movie and the line wasn't much better. I couldn't stand the lobster troopers.

I initially was going to vote 25th because the sculpts are weak compared to recent offerings. However, at least there wasn't as bad as supply or availability issues as there is now. Thus, I voted 50th.

Voted for Retaliation. It had some really good figures, but it kinda failed as a movie line. A lot of the figures had nothing to do with the movie or looked nothing like the characters in the movie. The vehicle drivers had reduced articulation and most of them were released way before or way after the movie was in theatres.
I thought about ROC but most of my problem there is the movie itself. At least the figures went along with the movie just fine. There are some 25th figures that look bad by comparison now but I can give them a pass just because they were figuring out a new figure style and I still love the classic style figures and card backs.

This is entirely relative, because even the worst ME figure is better than anything made before 2007.

When you say anything made before, are you talking about the "new sculpt" era stuff that showed up since JvC and onward? I would have to disagree with you on it because there were a few exceptions. Spytroops Zarana, Valor vs. Venom Dreadnok Torch, Snow Wolf(the one that came with Frostbite, not the one with the B.A.T.), and Major Barrage were great figures, though I admit most of the new sculpt stuff sucked.
