What should I expect to pay for a complete Night Raven?
The only complete ones on ebay right now are fixed-price listings, which are from the devil, and the only auction for one in the last 30 days went for $76 plus $15 ship and it didn't have labels. |

No idea, but have you tried the BST lists here on the 'Tank yet?

All of the ones I have seen both on Ebay and a FB trade forum have gone roughly for the same $75 complete.

I've bought one w/o box and blueprints for $55 shipped. That was years ago, so wouldn't surprise me if they are getting $75 now, but you could still probably find them cheaper on the BST or just have Ebay send you an email everytime one is listed and hope for the best.

I will agree with the general concensus and say that $75 sounds about right for a complete one. A local hobby shop has one that they are asking $90 for without box or instructions but it does include Strato Viper and his filecard. Now his shop tends to be on the higher end because he claims that its what the items would cost on ebay with shipping. I personally would just keep checking craigslist and or yard sales as these tend to pop up every now and again.

eBay sold listings for "Cobra Night Raven":
cobra night raven | eBay Average for the last 10 complete examples sold is between roughly 60, but of course, that does not include shipping. $75 sounds reasonable, especially if the piece is complete. |

$75 is fair for a complete one in average shape. I would pay more for one in perfect condition.

The problem is that most listings are Buy-it-Now, which really means Buy-it-Never because sellers set the prices unrealistically high, causing the items to sit on ebay for months or years, and also causing themselves to lose out on revenue. It doesn't work for buyers or sellers. I really think they should ban fixed-price except for bulk items. Get stuff moving through the system quickly again, and let both buyers and sellers get want they want.
I got most of my collection from 2000-2005 when almost all listings were auctions and it was actually fun to use ebay. It wasn't just getting toys; it was strategizing about how much to bid and when. And then there was the suspense of not knowing whether you won until the final moment, and the exhilaration or disappointment that followed. And knowing you were by default paying only market value was also a huge draw. Many times I purchased many items from one seller in a single day because I knew I was paying market rates. Today the place is a wasteland. |
