At first, I didn't get the backlash about the changes to Inferno BAT. He seemed lose enough to the original, was translucent red, and had a new accessory. But this JBL review gave me new insight, especially this pic:
How come the BATs keep getting shorter? Rhetorical question. Now I can't look at my tiny BAT anymore and will sell him. Club: how could you f-up this one??? Just do the V1 BAT in red translucent. You tried to fix something that wasn't fixed and you broke it. - End of Rant |

So, you're saying you liked the Inferno BAT before someone else told you that you shouldn't?
*EDIT* Actually, you never mentioned if you actually have the Inferno BAT yourself or had just initially liked it from seeing pics posted online; the latter would make your rant much more understandable. But I just finished reading the JBL review myself ( you should have linked to it), and while the new legs/shorter stature don't bother me in the slightest (different types of BATs can have different hardware resulting in height/form variations), their comments about the cheap-feeling plastic has me concerned. I have an Inferno BAT coming to me in the mail now from a fellow Tanker, I guess I'll see for myself when it gets here. BTW, JBL reviews are WAYYY more harsh than those on GeneralsJoes. The GJ guy almost never outright bashes a figure, and even when he (sorta) does, he seems almost apologetic about it. JBL, on the other hand, gives no shits, lol.

Eh.. I love bats. Even though this one isn't great, I can live with him being smaller. I just think they were built for speed more than just brute force. Plus they usually end up exploding according to their file card.. so you want them to get to where they need to be fast. Lol

Magick, my Inferno Bat may be available. I had a previously arranged deal with another tanker to swap him in exchange for a Law & Order to keep carded but I haven't heard back from him. I'll give him more time to respond and let you know if it becomes available.

Speaking of JBL, I've ignored their reviews because, well, I could never find them linked on their own site! I see the incoming FSS are now linked, but their 2015 Peril in Paradise set is still not linked. Anyone know if they ever got around to reviewing those, or am I just missing something? I love reading reviews, but do not like watching reviews. As a result, I really WANT to read JBL's ying to Justin's Yang!

This.
I think because Justin wrote reviews that were included in the Club magazine he tended to be a bit more diplomatic in the language he used when disappointed or frustrated at parts choices, etc. I like the JBL reviews because they are more open about problems with the figures, but one of them is a bit too bitter for me.

Yeah, Justin loves everything and JBL bashes a lot. I read them all no matter what. However, my BATS are scattered and I didn't have them side by side to compare. But that pic made me see the difference and now I can't look at it without seeing the shortness. It's quite a difference and I'm thinking machines should be big and menacing, but this one seems weaker. It's crazy because it would be so easy to repaint the V1 and now by tweaking it, they messed up. I don't hate the club, I just think they went the wrong way by switching the legs this time.
But on the other hand, this is supposed to be a BAT that heats up and if he had pants on wouldn't they just burst into flames? Of course, he's still wearing short sleeves... Quote:
BTW I didn't link the review because I'm not that good at this tech stuff, my apologies.
